Nope.
Under Tier 2, households are also barred from mixing in pubs and restaurants and people should aim to avoid public transport.
 
I just remembered we are talking about LONDON not SCOTLAND. Is it still rather balmy daaan sarf?

These rules really do make me feel hard done by as a SAD SINGLETON

I think I would be happier with a short proper lockdown but the prospect of this inconsequential faffing for months on end has me so gloomy.
 
The only difference between the current restrictions in Manchester and 'tier 3' seem to be that it'll put pubs without kitchens out of business.

That said, it seems Manchester is refusing to move into tier 3 unless the government offers financial support.
 
This is fucking stupid. Either close stuff or don't.

Anyone would think they were trying to collapse the economy in a controlled way, allowing certain industries to fall apart which keeping others running in the hope that everyone will blame the devastation on Covid rather than the now-inevitable no-deal Brexit.

I’m supposed to be going to our last film of the LFF on Saturday with a friend. So we can sit in a cinema together but not in a restaurant?

Yeah, now London is in tier 2, i’d rather they just do a proper lockdown for two weeks tbh.

I very much doubt that’s allowed either. But you can say they’re in your bubble.
 
Yes Tier 2 means households are barred from mixing in any indoor setting, including hospitality.

I hate to be the one to say it, but this actually WOULD make a difference if there was widespread compliance. I’m sorry but it’s just true. If you’re not getting within 2m of anybody you don’t live with for any prolonged period of time then it stunts the spread. We all know that.

So whoever said Tier 2 regulations won’t make all that much difference is probably right but ONLY because the public are fed up and getting good at finding loopholes.
 
No change for cinemas. Different booking groups (who cinemas are trusting to be same households or bubbles but they aren’t policing) were separated by 2m before and they still will be now.

Wow, that's bizarre. Mine (Riverside Studios) aren't allocating seats in advance - the nice usher person sorts it all out when you arrive.
 
At least they didn’t shut down your cinemas like they did here despite them being very compliant with the safety regulations and the fact that very few people were going.
 
I notice plenty of individual towns going into lockdown. But no fucking Essex is putting ALL THE TOWNS into lockdown.

I've already bought train tickets to be in Chesterfield from tomorrow evening until Tuesday evening. Since I'll be arriving and staying with parents on Friday night before it all comes in from Saturday, TOO LATE I'M JUST CARRYING ON.
