I just told the good sis @Pipo that for quite a while More More More was my favourite Kylie song, when I was a baby gay who hadn't yet fully explored her discography. I think it's an absolutely gorgeous song operating on a really rich groove - every time the chorus comes in it's a little more forceful, a little more desperate. There's a slight air of YEARNING in there. When her vocal moves into falsetto I'm tossing my hair around while drowning in disco sorrow.
As I mentioned in the first page write-up, it's also one of the few moments on Fever that feels very retro rather than futuristic, and as such feels like a neat bridge from Light Years.

LAFS treads a rather nice line between GAY INTEREST and one for the mums. Maybe that's why it was wheeled out so often?

LAFS is still gorgeous, but it's definitely not a favourite these days due to overplay.

One of the reasons I'm enjoying this double-relisten so much is that I know both of these albums so well, have used and abused them solidly for two decades... they are truly adored, a part of my musical education and a piece of my heart. Listening through them in full feels like COMING HOME.
