The Tesco is especially shit but both that and the co-op have an almost unbearable air of SADNESS!

The Co-op near Columbia Road is even WORSE. The staff are openly aggressive with each other and it’s just VILE

In my local disgusting community Facebook group there seems to be a very definite plan for people to trim up the house because kids won't be going out trick or treating. You can submit your house so there's a trail to walk around gawping.

The sheer QUANTITY of 24 hour shops in the area is also a plus, especially the one on Church St. who used to have the sexy Afghan boy on the night shift.

Unless you exclusively shop in M&S food halls/rely on Harrods delivering, there's absolutely no reason to get snooty about Lidl or Aldi any more. Their newer stores are frankly better than most other places.

Totally agree. In fact a lot of the foodand alcohol we buy in Aldi is nicer than in other supermarkets.

We've a new lidl down the road to us and the layout is amazing, it's so spacious and well stocked I happily go there. Although I do prefer Aldi slightly overall

I still know of people who go on their weekly shop to Aldi and go armed with their car boot full of M&S bags for life.

In terms of produce, with the exception of perhaps a couple of brand names, I genuinely prefer Lidl or Aldi now.
