Do religious people actually think their prayers are going to CHANGE what has already been written on a ballot paper? I don't understand. Is it because they believe a miracle can happen; God can literally physically change what is on the papers? Or is it all just more symbolic and figurative than that?

I know I should probably know this at the age of 38, but it truly boggles my mind.

I would guess that they are praying for God's will to have allowed the voters who haven't had their counts yet to have made a "right" decision.

I feel the same about it. I just can’t fathom what they think it’s going to do. And why would ‘God’ influence an election. Is god a republican?
