The gag of Joe replying "I'm Irish" to a BBC reporter asking if he had anything to say to them. I hope it wasn't Ms Alzheimers showing up at the victory party, and more of a pointed "I'm coming for your wig, Boris" kind of moment.

Yeah there is something amazing about a young black male from a working class suburb of manchester humiliating the tories.

...and something typically cowardly of the Tories to try and bury the u-turn on a Saturday night while everyone's eyes are elsewhere.

Never mind the arrogance of denying it in the first place when it's such a relatively piddly amount of money. And then of not realising that you know, the vast majority of people do have perhaps a slight issue with children starving or parents having to choose between feeding their children or letting them not freeze to death.

If there was even an ounce of humanity they would have taken it on the chin. That makes this climbdown all the more satisfying. The veneer of niceness is being scoured away and the nasty tories of old revealed again. And again.

I think this is absolutely on-topic because there is a LOT of talk about Boris having drunk too deep from the Trumpian populist well and now finding himself absolutely adrift from new US administration who have (a) long memories and (b) principles.

Given that Trump has clearly been dumped the instant it was clear that he had definitely lost, how long before the Tories do the full Caeser on Johnson now that he is a different kind of liability?

Did anyone catch Raab on Sky News (I know, I know)? Watching him squirm attempting to respond to
Tommy Vietor's tweet was fun. As was him categorically refusing to answer the entirely reasonable question as to whether, in a democratic election, ALL votes should be counted. :eyes:

As much as I hate him, I'd like the Tories to keep him for as long as possible. Getting rid of him over the next 12 months would only allow someone quasi-competent to replace him and establish themselves before the next elections. Given the propensity for the UK electorate to buy into Tory bullshit, this country needs to suffer for a while longer.

Just rewatching Biden's speech with Mr Ag, who quite rightly pointed out that he sounds like he was about to break out into 'Born This Way' after he lists off all the queens and races.

I’m gagging at this Four Seasons story. It’s absolutely perfect. The writers of Veep and Parks & Rec could spend years conjuring the best post Trump scenario and couldn’t come up with something as ridiculous as this.

joyous. Just joyous.

Boris and right wing media’s reaction overall does less credence to the theory that there really has been some far right cyber plot over the last 5 years to put a certain group of horrors in power and nobody expected Trump not to win a second a term, so the Tory party and its mates at the Mail/Express etc are now scrambling unprepared

GOOD

It doesn't matter who the PM is, just offer them a photo op with the Queen and they'll be absolute putty. Barack and Michelle were total stans.

Not on the cards until we're post-Covid. Trade deals need to get done within a matter of weeks.

I genuinely thought it was a wind-up. Absolutely unreal. And, of course, the perfect ending.

That shit ain't happening.

I don't agree - I think the government will now be acutely aware of the mess they're in and it's a battle between the relatively small but powerful number of no-dealers against those who've understood that the game has changed irretrievably in 2020. But let's not cross the streams too much. I want to see more Sad Trump before the day is over.

Kay Burley could do a great deal of self redemption by tweeting that glass eyed picture of Trump with "there's a sadness in his eyes".

I'm amazed they actually went ahead with it in the PARKING LOT NEXT TO A DILDO STORE and didn't just reschedule.

"Old fart Joe Biden was last night declared the next President of the USA - days after the Star sort of predicted it."

GOD I feel sorry for anyone whose IQ is low enough to buy that SHIT

Who do we think for his new team? I presume Warren is shoe in.
He needs progressives in there but I kind of hope it won't be Warren. Her conduct at the start of this year was just awful. She's self-serving.
