Smile was actually not so bad. I enjoyed it for 2 days.

For all the talk about it being some kind of glorious return to form, I listened to that Alanis Morrissette album all of twice.

to be honest it’s quite poppy, maybe not experimental enough for your usual tastes

but if you’re the mood it’s incredible cohesive and takes on the current 80s trend without being too predicable or veering too far from the GA sound. I’d put it somewhere between Prince, Pet Shop Boys and George Michael

Really really good. Normally I prefer their poppier stuff than the more mellow, artistic stuff that tends to be the majority of their albums, but here it’s the other way round for me. The singles were ok but the album stuff is better. This is by far my fave and one of the best songs of 2020 for me
