In addition to Monrose, the back cat of No Angels has also finally hit Spotify. :disco:

It's close between this and Poison by Bardot, but for my money this is the best of the first generation 'Popstars' bands debut singles. I remember going on a school trip to Germany in 2000 and it was absolutely everywhere.

I wanna BE
JUST you and ME
WARMER THAN SUUUNLIIIIIIIIIGHT!

Oh yes big fan of this one!
Also love “Still in love with you”

However the one that entertains me the most has to be the UTTER MESS of a song
“Let’s go to bed”

John Lennon was my hero
He spoke peace
While laying in bed with yoko
Sometimes we gotta go slow
And when I'm ill I'm in with a hot cup of cocoa
:D

OMG that VIDEO! :D I've only seen the one where they are outside before, I think this was briefly given a push in the UK:

At 0.37 where the blonde one is promptly CUT OFF as the song moves on to the next one always makes me chuckle.

Interesting interview with Nadja from the band here - https://www.theguardian.com/society/2011/mar/19/nadja-benaissa-interview-hiv-positive

Yes, this was very good and really takes me back to that time. My friends used to ask me what on earth I would listen to, and I'd be like "If you don't understand the subtle Germanic nuances of No Angels/Jeanette Biedermann/Bro'Sis/Natasha Thomas then I'm not the one to help you' Anyway, thank god auxiliary cords and iphones didn't exist in those days or I'd have probably ended up getting stabbed at a houseparty.

Daylight in Your Eyes is the perfect debut single for a girlband - it has a moreish quality to it and that sense of urgency that all the great debuts flirt with. They never bettered it but they certainly had some fun songs in their discography. MY RANKING:

1. Daylight in Your Eyes
2. Disappear - This has a tragic undertone to it already, but combined with the Eurovision performance it's sort of a Greek myth. The valiant blonde one desperately trying to to steer the performance to safety, but to no avail. An audience turned to stone by the end, apart from in Bulgaria where the people must have thought they were voting to keep Lucy Diakovska out of the country. BTW - the cheek of them adding an acoustic album to Spotify :D
3. Still in Love With You - used to be obsessed with the 'Trains and boats and aeroplanes' line in this song - I think I find a list of 3 things or more in a song quite satisfying (see also the end of 'Taking Back What's Mine' by Leah Haywood)
4. One Life - their 2010 comeback, sadly not on Spotify
5. Let's Go To Bed - what @Alex said
6. Atlantis - oh hear me out, it's a bit of FUN4EUROPE
7. Feelgoodlies
8. Rivers of Joy
9. No Angels (It's All in Your Mind)
10. In My Head

What a lovely write-up! Feeling quite nostalgic for those German 90s pop acts now.
I think this Top 10 is missing this Destiny's Child rip-off that I'm quite fond of:

Lucy always seemed to have Mel C's reputation within the band - "the one that can sing" according to the media yet the most grating voice.

Oh are they finally on Spotify :disco:

This one is OK, but Feel Good Lies is an absolute 10/10, even if it is a ‘Scandalous’ rewrite.

9 for this
10 for When the Angels Sing (generic but it just gets to me)
