RANDOM THINGS YOU HATE (5 Viewers)

And ‘mate’ :zombie:

Weirdly I don’t mind MATE although it’s always a transparent attempt to be “straight-acting”. You get quite a lot of that on Fab Guys but then most of them have wives in the next room whipping up a Dream Topping afters while they’re busy browsing through the deluxe selection of classy profile pics of COCKS

Shall I call u m8 from now on instead of DEAR pet?! :eyes:

Also, the very worst Americans like to say MATE and use BLOODY as an adjective so that's a random thing I hate

REALLY? The last American I knew, I had to explain the word "WHILST" to

To clarify, these are not actually the worst Americans, but:

There are a certain subset of Americans I met at university who love Dr. Who and Sherlock, use those words, and glorify England. They tend to be generally annoying.

Nothing like me, who loves Girls Aloud and Sophie Ellis-Bextor, and glorified England for them.

On the flipside I have "friends" who pronounce vitamins with an "eye" and talk about "candy" and I treat them with equal disdain.

Sophie Ellis-Bextor transcends nationality so that's FINE.

I think the lesson here is that it's never good to be a poser

Unless of course its better than your real personality. Or its about Sophie :disco:

Probably but their fans haven't bothered me in real life so it isn't the same (I don't know what or who Benny Hill is)

Ha. This is my (excellent) American friend, but she lives over here. Been here 6 years and still learning - the other week her mind was blown by our spelling of “pyjamas”.

Even though I just called other people posers minutes ago, I prefer that spelling and am ready to start using it

I went to uni with people like that and they were actually IN ENGLAND.

Tumblr was a curse.

If this is about me then:

If this is not about me:

I'm sorry for looking so self-centered

I was just answering your question about Benny Hill!

"In The Style of Shania Twain" :D:D Why would someone make that?? Now THAT is a random thing I hate

I’LL STEP IN

Benny Hill was a British comedian whose TV shows always ended with him making a nuisance of himself and being chased in a ludicrously sped up sequence, usually by women

Before you judge, it’s all we had in the seventies apart from power cuts and having to wipe our bottoms with newspaper
