Now I’m not a massive fan of an omelette to be honest. I don’t like “set” eggs much.

Anyway we were in Rome, lolly has a nun fetish and insisted we ate at this restaurant. I ordered a vegetarian crepe and realised after a few mouthfuls that the pink bits were ham :(

My omelette always falls apart when I take it out of the pan :(

My fav filling is smoked salmon (EVIL SOLDI) with spinach and a touch of cheese

I'm trying to get my head around these stupid new rules when lockdown ends.

So in Tier 2 the government's said you can only have alcohol with a substantial meal, and that you're supposed to leave the pub when you've finished your meal. God knows if/how anyone will be enforcing that. Assuming you can afford it surely you just order the cheapest dish on the menu every time you want a round, which is a massive recipe for food waste and not much else.

It’s ridiculous, if you finish your meal with half a bottle of wine left you can’t even finish it off!
 
I also feel a bit like this new rule has been tacked on as a bit of an afterthought and will end up being one of those rules that pubs/public don't really stick to but then it won't be the government's fault when they do that.

Yes that's definitely it. Completely pointless and unenforceable but they have to say they're doing something.
 
The whole thing has been the government putting out a series of nonsensical rules which are not enforced so that they can blame the public when it goes wrong saying 'well we did tell you to only drink with a substantial meal etc...'
 
@ZenGiraffe do we have individual figures for Perth and Kinross area or are we just lumped in to Tayside? I see that Nicola mentioned she was keeping an eye on Perth and Kinross as cases were spiking but I can’t find any individual figures apart from Tayside? :confused:

Since Tuesday... which is starting to make me feel a little stir crazy. I don't have any symptoms, so I was told to wait 10 days (which will be Friday)). I can't really go for a walk here (too crowded), but I was thinking of driving to somewhere less crowded to go for a walk.

How long are you supposed to stay in? Also, does that mean you only had symptoms for a few days? Do you feel completely better?

the guideline here is to isolate till you're free of symptoms + 48 hours. which is tomorrow for me but I'm going to work from home and give it a few more days. the only thing still in effect is the lack of smell which is genuinely distressing me :(

going for a drive to a less crowded place sounds like a good idea. nothing like a good old sashay in fresh air to mend the soul

See those guidelines are completely different than the ones I was given. It's not like the virus works differently in different countries. I would feel better self-isolating longer if I could work from home, but I can't, so I'm sacrificing another week's pay.

I've heard a lot of people say that smell was the last symptom to go away, so you'll probably get it back soon!
 
I've just stumbled across a local antimask group online. Their 62 followers including mostly other regional antimask groups, Katie Hopkins and Piers Corbyn and are planning 'mass disobedience'.

I hate knowing such cunts are on my doorstep.
 
This was going all all day and night yesterday less than a mile away. The police only started breaking it up about 9-10pm as I head from a Twitter announcement of a dispersal order. All young people I suspect from the local university. They even had a DJ pumping music out to the streets.
