How would you describe/ define Moopy and its members?

I was just wondering this, for reasons I can't explain.

We're mostly but not exclusively British (although I suspect this is the weakest defining factor these days), cis, white, gay men. Politically we're almost exclusively left of centre. We're mostly united by a love of female performers. Humour veers into the realm of dark, but it can be eclectic. The average age is probably mid/ late 30s by now. Pretty well educated, with varying degrees of economic success.

Of course, none of those definitions is exclusive or comprehensive. And none of them are necessarily for the better.

Agree? Disagree? What else?

I have too much time, don't tempt me.

Geography is an interesting one. The average is probably LONDON, MANCHESTER or GLASGOW. But those factors are likely connected with economic status and sexuality.

I was a member of online communities before (with Greek members - which weirdly was how I ended up here) but they were nowhere near as deranged or funny as you lot.
So, that's how I'd describe moopy: a bunch of deranged and insanely funny bunch of internet freaks.

I guess there was a permanent skeleton crew of people that had always known each other and several who were dedicated to the place. In that sense, I suspect there would always have been a community who only know each other through the site and Moopy would have continued. I've known of Indie and Ellie and others for over 20 years.

One of our members was shagging a senior Tory politician, but I'm sure you know that. The picture of said poster was captioned with a reference about us as describing us as such. Not sure how they found that out actually. Wasn't able to find the link alas.
