There’s an anti-lockdown demo planned up here on 5th December.

I wish they’d fuck off encouraging people to travel to our area when covid rates are falling and we could be moving down to tier 2.
 
I don’t think I’ve had a Scotch egg in at least 20 years but the last time I had one it wasn’t bad by any means.
 
It had completely passed me by that the lockdown restrictions end TONIGHT. I'd assumed Thursday was the first day of "freedom" but apparently not!

So did a lot of businesses, apparently.

I toyed with the idea of taking tomorrow off work to explore the world again but decided that looking at queues at Primark isn't exactly amazing fun.
 
Am I allowed to meet my sister to pass a birthday present to her even though her birthday was in September?
 
It’s GIN and something else which I can’t remember but I’m sure if I pop a bit of BREAD in it’d count as a SUBSTANTIAL MEAL

I suspect tomorrow is a bad time to go to Wilkos for Christmas tat, but at least it will get me out of the flat

The shops are allowed to open for 24 hours, whether they choose to when that means paying staff for hours that'll probably see minimal business is another matter.

The local economy in Liverpool has just exploded. All the hotels have gone from empty to booked up to end of year. Problem is it’s everyone from Manchester Leeds Lancs and the Midlands coming to do their Christmas shopping and go for dinner somewhere nice. Don’t think we’ll be in tier 2 for long :(
 
The German Ambassador to UK is having some bizarre and amusing tantrum about this not being a British Victory because someone said it was a huge achievement for the UK to be the first country to approve usage.

Well, the news has been SEIZED by Brexit supporters as justification to leave the EU so we can do things our way etc etc so it's only natural.

Families across the provinces TORN APART as racist uncles celebrate the union flag vaccine owning Brussels. while racist aunts have it from a number of reputable minions that vaccines cause spontaneous combustion.
 
How ironic that Brexiteers are hailing this as a post Brexit victory. Aren’t most of them vaccine deniers anyway?
 
I was on a call with David Nabarro earlier. It was both incredibly inspirational and crushing at the same time.
