This is the sort of time that a morning thread should be started, SOLDI.

It’s hard to get excited about the end of lockdown this time as going to the pub isn’t FUN ANYMORE.

Oh PISS OFF!

I’m a bit PISSED OFF myself because I got up quite early for an appointment with the landlord at 9, only for her to push it back to half 10 once I was up and dressed :(

I wonder when IS the acceptable time for a morning thread? Tarty started one at 5.30 when he had a dream and nobody kicked off.

not that I have a vested interest in the answer or anything
I’d say after 4am, even sorb is asleep by then

I'm off on Saturday and much more looking forward to seeing some PEOPLE face to face than I am anything else. But then there's also a rather thick underlay of anxiety due to having to sit outside in the cold /the possibility of being asked to leave after our substantial meal/scotch egg / the possibility of not being asked to leave but then feeling like we shouldn't be there / if we get into it about sitting outside or illegally moving inside / travelling on a train to get there

Going out just isn't SIMPLE anymore. I plan to drink FAST and get onto the Cock Destroyers programme as quickly as possible.

Quite, there's nothing RELAXING about the experience at all, I'd rather NOT BOTHER.

I've been in work for an hour and it's still FREEZING in my office, I CAN'T WORK IN THESE CONDITIONS.

I've always found going outside a bit stressful but I didn't really want everyone to be sharing that experience.

Yeah I'm not planning to bother with the pub either. Some friends are taking Monday off to go to some so I shall see what they report back about the food thing.

I am going to the cinema with Mr Kate on Sunday though. I'm guessing the bar will not be open so I will be smuggling some booze in :) (then eating in the restaurant afterwards to assuage my guilt about not supporting them)

I'm going to the pub on my own for Friday lunch. Because I need a day off work and I can't think of anything better to do.

My (relatively skanky) local has installed plastic sheets in the middle of tables so "you can still socialise with people outside your household". I'm not sure that's how it works.

I’m going for a meal on Saturday and then to the cinema with a friend. Just for a GRASP of normalcy. Of course this is all still highly illegal as we don’t share households or support bubbles. :)

(Please don’t call the police)

Don’t know where to put this but...

Is identifying that a lot of your negative behaviours are directly transplanted from your mother and dealing with her reactions to things, is that useful? I can’t imagine how I can deprogram myself

Btw I’m not trying to derail another daily thread, it just popped into my head. I’m not having an existential crisis or anything :)

I'm meeting a mate in the pub on Friday. They genuinely do serve scotch egg, so I'm sticking to the rules.

A man is drilling in the hallway immediately outside my flat. If he doesn't stop soon, I'm going to kill him with a hammer.

I've had to decamp to the back of the house, due to the noise from the renovation ACROSS THE STREET which is now into it's third week. Of course the cunts who live there have MOVED OUT FOR THE DURATION.

WHY ARE THEY DOING IT ALL IN THE STREET? THEY HAVE A BACK GARDEN (I presume).

I may deconstruct any improvements. Although I suspect that will involve tearing a kitchen out, but I'm up for the challenge.

I wouldn't look too deeply in inheriting traits from our parents. Sounds perfectly normal to me!

Well I didn't have to queue for Wilko and I got a big bag of TAT for £6.50. Result.

I miss Wilkos, I used to be in there loads when I lived in Wood Green.

Glasgow doesn't have any though, and like fuck am I going to take a trip to Motherwell to go to one

Oh I miss the cinema :(

This second lockdown is lot more difficult than the first. It feels very suffocating.

People making repetitive noise during daylight hours or at night deserve nothing less than a good skull fracture. There was a little twat on some shitty little motorised sewing machine doing laps around the car park behind our office - we actually called the police on him.

:D

We have a guy who lives around my way who makes a bloody racket with his car late at night. I've seen him during the day: the car is an absolute piece of shit and looks like it was built with Meccano. He obviously has a very small penis.

How bad are the behaviours on a scale of 1 to Psycho (1960)?

loooolll just got an invitation to a virtual team building event in January

Hideous enough already, but then at the bottom it says "Please note: Contractors are welcome to attend this event but unfortunately it is not billable hours and you won't be able to receive a prize."

THAT WILL BE A DECLINE THEN, THANKS ANYWAY

I HATE when someone makes a decision like that and then uses the word "unfortunate" If they really felt it was unfortunate they would change it!

so full time staff are paid to go, but contractors aren’t? That’s some good team building

Oh, it's always the way. At a previous job before I worked from home the permies would all disappear twice a year to build a raft or whatever and we'd have a lovely quiet day in the office doing fuck all

omg now the VIRTUAL FESTIVE DISCO YOGA invitations have arrived :D

CHARMING. Not billable, fair enough (sort of). But no chance of a PRIZE?
