It was a chap at a company that we outsource work to, and having worked for such companies myself in the past I know an ARSEY CLIENT can really ruin your day/week/life.

I kept smelling gas today when I was going out for a fag on the step at work but then it would disappear. The boss said it was probably from the school across the road because we can smell what they're cooking for dinner every morning so don't bother about it. I did bother and rang the gas emergency line, no problems in or around our office but then he discovered a leak in the gas main going in to the property next door (his machine was beeping away like billyo). Gasman said that phonecall could've saved their lives but he's no idea how they couldn't smell it because as soon as they opened their front door when he knocked he could smell it inside the house.

Being stuck in is rather saddening. The man doing the research wasn't remotely chatty. I don't mind going for a walk in light rain or very cold and dry weather. But its almost freezing rain out there.
