had no idea this was even a singe. IIRC it was a bit of a grab bag, they tried to make Goodness Gracious happen after Burn but maybe this took off instead?
 
the beauty of an Ellie sync listen is that just because it's over doesn't mean it's really over, and if you think it's over maybe you'll discover a new bonus track, over and over AGAIN!

One of my top 5 songs EVER. I just love it so so so much. I got tickets to see her shortly before the song blew up, so I got to see her in a pretty small venue. The guy I was in love with in high school was there and we danced to this song and it is just one of those (HALCYON) memories for me. It is euphoric and a song that will put me in a good mood even on the worst day. I don't have @Jark's way with words about music but this song just makes me FEEL things
 
Burn was such a transparent attempt to get a big hit, but it just WORKED

as I think I mentioned earlier, Burn was the moment at which I really started to STAN. it must have been my most played song of 2013/14. I still think it's a fucking brilliant pop song, I don't find it overly basic and I cannot help but CACKLE when thinking of how Leona recorded it, passed on it, then Ellie got an easy #1... and a writing credit. :eyes: queen behaviour y'all.

now if you don't love Goodness Gracious then I'm afraid you lost your soul somewhere along the way. I always thought it was a big old flop but apparently it did go to #16. she was getting hits left right and centre at that point.

Damn you Ellie. This song's a bit dull but then the tune of "In our hearts without chains" is so beautifully haunting that I'm drawn back in
 
Hearts Without Chains is filler but also beautiful? I feel like all of these songs are really high quality for what are essentially bonus tracks. I don't really know Stay Awake that well but it's already certified HIGH NRG BOP by the Jarkette jury.

You can clearly hear that it was the blueprint for that album. It's a bit of a halfway affair whereas Delirium is BALLS TO THE WALL BIG POP GORL.

One could argue this is her trying to compromise with her record label, and Delirium is her just GIVING IN (I still love it though. I've listened a lot since the sync listen)
