I usually naturally drink a lot less in January because of over doing it in December but there’s not much of a risk of THAT this year.

I’m going to try and keep it to Friday-Sunday but then I already know I won’t :D
 
As I bore everyone with, I often only drink once a fortnight anyway, so Dry Jan is a big WHATEVAR.
 
It's my birthday in January so never.

I've done the odd dry February but I come out the other side wondering what the point of that was
 
I only really drink Thursday (mildly), Friday (A LOT) and Saturday (if there's a GLASS OF WINE leftover in the bottle :eyes:)

I can't handle any sort of BRAIN FOG when trying to work during the week. The thought of January without a FRIDAY NIGHT BLOW OUT is frankly horrifying.

What would you even DO to entertain yourself!
 
NO! Anytime I tell myself I'm not going to drink, that is when I drink the most
 
Covid has also limited my drinking possibilities. Being stuck at home with someone doing AA, rather restricts my options.

I just popped to the local wine shop but the cheapest bottle was £13 so I shall NOT be making a habit of that.
 
I've done dry most of 2020, due to my decision not to drink during lockdowns. (Although I'm allowing myself a few Friday night beers this time around, whereas lockdown one was three months fully teetotal).

So if the pubs re-open in January, absolutely not. If they don't, I'll probably stick to my current routine of much reduced drinking.

Good LORD! Is your local wine shop some sort of BOUJIE NATURAL WINE ESTABLISHMENT?

Even my reliable local Turkish has fine wines for as low as £6.99 for when DESPERATION CALLS!
(I actually know of a shop in HIGH DALSTON with a seemingly-permanent special offer of 2 bottles of A VERY SELECT FINE WINE for £5 :disco: )

I tell EVERYONE this and no one ever listens. January is a great month to drink in, because:

1. Loads of booze left over from Christmas
2. It’s a shit month with nothing going on so you need something to do
3. All the chavs have pissed their money up the wall at Asda on wide screen TVs in the January sale so no the pubs are full of nice people
4. It’s cold, red wine and fire weather
5. The pubs all have offers on on food and the suchlike so it’s basically cheaper than home

Now, trust your Uncle Sheena. Cheers, loves.
