Speaking of obesity I’ve just ordered £60s worth of curry for 2 of us.
 
I once spent Xmas at a friend’s house and her mum made me the most amazing nut roast that nothing has compared since so really she’s ruined Xmas for me.
 
I think ours was from Waitrose. I can't remember why it was shit.

It just wasn't turkey.

I suppose it's a bit late now but just ask them to remember how disappointing it was on all previous occasions. Again; if you have to stuff another two birds inside it to make it tolerable, you're trying far to hard.

People queued for that place even pre-covid. I think it's the Supermarket Sweep rush they feel when filling their baskets with 50p thongs (and who can blame them frankly).
 
Before it gets noticed, I've requested the ASFXMAS topic be closed.

I'm finding my time on Moopy pretty stressful right now and the name change thing really felt like a massive fuck you, which doesn't really make me feel inclined to continue with what is a full on process. That said I'm also aware the name changes are just for fun, but they've added to the stress, which very few seemed to care about and indeed thrived on the stress it caused. Woe is indeed me.

Hopefully I'll get a grip in a few days and we can continue with it. It's not cancelled, just having a strop. I'm certainly not going to sabotage it as I was quite close to all this evening.
 
Take as much time as you need Ag, I’m sure we’ll entertain ourselves in the meantime :) x
 
I do get the frustration though. This came up a couple of weeks ago and it was decided we would just do festive avatars/titles instead, which is why I started the thread!
 
Happy to host the sync rewatch Monday if you don’t feel like it, though I know that’s not much work in the scheme of things.

Ag, your hard work is always greatly appreciated and I must say you are one of, if not the best host in my opinion but I do really wish you would stop doing hosting duties on Moopy events if it is having an adverse effect on your mental health. Step back, take all the time you need but you come first every time before this rather fabulous forum.

Thanks, I appreciate it.

I do enjoy most of the process, but I wasn't anticipating the turn of events. I think the apparent relishing of the stress from some quarters was a bit much for me right now.

That is just not right and doesn’t sit well with me at all. I would like to say a big FUCK YOU to every one of them.
 
You're right to pause the process if it's stressful/coming at a bad time, in the same way that Kala did. I have to say that I haven't seen anyone relishing in your stress, but maybe I've missed it. It seems like a bit of an easy pot shot though when all I've seen is people changing their usernames as a little festive joke
 
I KNOW THE FEELING. MY MENTAL WELL-BEING HAS SPIRALLED DOWNWARDS OVER THE LAST FEW DAYS.

Apologies @Ag as the person who actually took the decision to go ahead with changing names. I didn't think that it would have any further impact other than the extra work for my own bit of Moopy M.I.

I certainly didn't intend on causing anyone any stress or anxiety.
