Here's one I've never heard aside from the singles. Does it hold up better than the Timbaland/video girl era? LET'S SEE

Love that album! Her best, I think.

My Love Grows Deeper, Legend, Party and the Portuguese bonus tracks were all lovely. And the singles too, of course.

I am sure this is my first time ever listening to this album

Hey Man! still sounds quite fresh despite being twenty years old. Loving the backing vox, very ethereal.

Sorry girls, I’m doing something else.

"Shit on the Radio" hasn't aged quite as well, but love the chorus.

09 Hey Man - Really like this on first listen
08 Shit On The Radio - I don't remember this from the time at all, but I do like it now

08 Hey, Man!
08 Shit on the Radio (Remember the Days)

"Baby Girl" coming in with the brassy lounge vibes, I just wish I didn't find her voice as grating as I do in this early material :(

08 Hey, Man!
08 Shit on the Radio (Remember the Days)
07 Baby Girl

Maybe its the sound of being a teenager in 2000, but this all reminds me of the first Sugababes album

...and THIS is why I did not host this when Miss Bev came calling :eyes:

"Legend" is quite tender and nice if not a bit amateur sounding.

08 Hey, Man!

07 Baby Girl
06 Legend

Baby Girl and Legend were both good but I don't remember them at all after they ended. I'm Like A Bird is the only song from this album I knew before actively seeking out music myself. It really brings me back to elementary school. I don't think I appreciated that it really is very pretty

"I'm Like a Bird" is probably still her best known track twenty years later, although "Promiscuous" and "Say It Right" arguably had a bigger presence in their time.

I definitely hear it the most on the radio, but I feel like I'm more likely to hear Promiscuous or Say It Right in most other contexts. I feel like Promiscuous is the most remembered?

Perhaps in some segments, but ultimately "I'm Like a Bird" is still her signature I think.

I prefer "Turn off the Light" these days of the two big singles.

In the least bitchy way possible, I think I might feel that way because I (and most of my friends) weren't really around for the first album hits. Someone a few years older than me might feel differently

"Trynna Finda Way" - I actually love the guitar(?) riffs that come and go throughout the song. The spoken word is a bit distracting, and I think a more sparse vocal would have suited it well.

I think Party is my second favorite album track so far (after hey, man!). I like the instrumentation throughout the album, and especially how sparse it is here

I like the second half album tracks better :D Or maybe I've just gotten more into the vibe of it all

Well I Will Make U Cry has stood out, in a bad way. The verses are just annoying
