They’re announcing the participants right now. Some notables are Rein Alexander and KEIINO!!

It’s hard to keep up with. They’re announcing a mix of finalists as well as some artists who are taking part in one of the heats this weekend.

I thought we'd see the female singer solo before we saw the BAND BACK tbh.

This just reminded me how Norway cruelly DUMPED last year's ATTENTION woman almost straight away last year :D I vaguely remember DRAMA!

I quite liked Attention :(

Nowhere near as good as Rein or that girl who finished second mind.

They were probably ashamed at going for an okayish ballad instead of the almighty Rein.
Still, plenty of time for them to correct that mistake in 2021.

I feel like it's a bit too soon to send KEiiNO again, for the casuals it will be as if they've had back-to-back entries. But they have continued to deliver with all their post-Eurovision singles so I am of course still very excited! (and we get to hear it this week :disco:)

Elevate is the only FINAL WORTHY song from this bunch.

GUESS WHO'S BACK!

These things rarely work out well, but I'm very down for a Spirit In The Sky re-write :D

The no bra, wipe clean and pleather jackets have me wondering if they have something more risque planned than Spirit in the Sky. I'm not sure Black Leather style lyrics are the way to go here though.

Are they revealing one finalist in each heat? If not, is there any reason to bother with the heats?

I'm worried the law of diminishing returns will strike once more. I'm also in the camp who thought Alexandra Keiino would give it a go solo first.

How do you follow up 100% euro-perfection like "Spirit In The Sky"? A total let-down beckons.

They’re certainly talking it up like they have a winner on their hands this time (something that will appeal to public and juries apparently) but that’s just making me more inclined to believe that it’s going to have the “workshopped to within an inch of its life” feel of this follow-up effort...

Elevate is clearly the best, but I wouldn't be mad if the rock nonsense won on Saturday either.

Yep, Elevate is the one stuck in my head but Faith Bloody Faith is a decent second. Still, none of this first batch match the quality of queen Raylee from the first heat last year.

Oh hang on that's midnight in NORWAY so only 48 minutes away!

Omg this is soooo good! Surely it’ll be a CONTENDER if/when (:disco:) it wins in Norway

It’s very very good although some of the lyrics are bizarre (that’s the problem with lyric videos I guess).

Can’t quite see this replicating the onstage JOY of Spirit but you never know.

Norway just behind Iceland (who are first) in the odds :D (yes I know it’s early and they’re useless at this stage but STILL)

THUNDER AND GLORIAAAAAAA!!! :disco:

Agree that the lyrics are a little clunky on first listen, but I love it anyway :D
I love how high Alexandra's vocals are in the mix compared to the guy :D
SURELY they have to send them again, I think they'd get another amazing televote like Moldova did with Hey Mama.

KEiiNO the new ABBA..?
