Lana Del Rey - Born to Die + Paradise (sync tonight 9pm)

"Blue Jeans" is one that has faded SLIGHTLY in time. The production, chorus, melody etc are all there, but there's something slightly missing. I can't put my finger on it.

It looks like I like this album less than I do, but in some ways it's bigger than the sum of its parts, and I find the beginning and end sections the best parts!
 
"Video Games" hasn't aged a day. It's so elegant/beautiful. Passed me by at the time (didn't "discover" Lana until 2014, ironically until Ultraviolence).
 
Love 'Dark Paradise' - initially was my favourite actually. Queen of morbidity and death. That being said I find her vocal slightly jarring on the chorus (in a good way.)
 
That last "It's you... it's you, it's ALL FOR YOU, everything I do..." *melts*

God my sister and I used to sing along to these every day on the drive to school with no regard for how dark it is :D
 
Dark Paradise could be the POPPIEST moment of the album no?

The demo is much better but alas. There's also a Single Remix floating around but sounds the same to my ears. I wish it was on spotify.

A chill out remix of Radio used to be the an exercise of the Body Attack gym class I used to go to. It was hard not to stan in the middle of the crunches :D

Radio is a 10 these days I think. Yet it used to really pass me by when the album was first out.
 
Radio is the first one that is filler-ish. Not bad but just doesn't live up to everything before it
