i didn’t really give Testament a proper listen, bar the singles which I love. From the ratings I really need to give it another go :o
 
Footprints feels a BIT low key, but again it's doing a lot of fun switching up with the production that I'm appreciating.

Footprints is lovely. Fuzzy. I think I used that word for Pieces too. Shaznay obviously likes to write and ending this way.

It's a very strong album. It just doesn't quite have the 11's and 12's that Red Flag has.
 
I like Footprints too

I liked both albums (Red Flag more), and they will both need more listens. They were both more varied than I expected (in a good way)
 
I am not great at ranking because I end up giving everything 6 or above. 2-5 feel so harsh but using all the numbers would make it more meaningful
 
I will relisten to both during work tomorrow morning. I remember having a lot of time for both albums at the time but I'm not sure I've played them in the last 2 years at ALL.
 
Listening to Red Flag and forgot how good some of the album tracks are as obviously “One Strike” and “This Is a War” are 11s

Fear is gorgeous. STOP i’m not readyyyy.
I’m still not sure what I think about Rachet Behaviour, I mean it is awful but also oddly compelling :D

Red Flag has the best song, but I think Testament is the better album overall.

I cba to get into a whole RATINGS discussion again, but I think I rate the songs compared the songs that surround them, and how I'm feeling in a particular moment. I agree that giving something a 06 is a sign of mediocrity, compared to giving a song a 04 or 03 which is getting into active disliking territory. :david:
 
The moopy rule in my ancient days was that only one song could be given an 11 :evil:

Shaz Bagz hitting it out the cloak room with that one, One Woman Man was their Bittersweet Symphony and should have been huge. Natz doing the heavy lifting of course.
