Norway 2021: TIX - Fallen Angel

God this really is slim pickings until Melodifestivalen starts isn't it?

Although I admit the song quality in Norway has impressed me.

Of all the performances tonight I think Blasemafian (sp?) could be the most likely to win...
 
Oh it was a post show analysis.

Anyway I've watched the KEiiNO performance. It left me wanting. The vocals were good at least.
 
Excellent vocals from KEiiNO, although there were plenty of prerecorded BVs on the track to help beef it up.

The staging was a little too dark, but you only have to look at the difference between the MGP performance of ‘Spirit In The Sky’ and their Eurovision performance to see that things can be improved on that front.

Then the boys come in and ruin it a bit. Luckily only for a bit, e.g. that ill-advised rap. :zombie:

But on the whole very good.
 
I don’t mind the gay one but FUCK ME the pandemic hasn’t been kind to him.

Baldy just reminds me of the bloke out of Aqua, and that was always a case of “Pipe down, Lars and let Lene back on the mic”.
 
So I thought the vocals were much better than I was expecting but that cannot be the final performance as they will lose to Hazel if that’s the case
 
I've played Monument to my other half who thought it was okay but a mess of a song and nowhere near Spirit quality. But, oh god help me, we then watched it live, followed by TIX, and he declared the latter to be a fantastic entry and performance, far better than Keiino.

Moopy my palms are sweaty as fuck on this kitchen knife right now
 
Monument was fucking spectacular live! I see no problem, just a bit of polishing and the staging can be worked on. But the song is beautiful.

I'm scared though, they're going to have competition. I'm not even allowing myself to believe they're going through.

If they don't, let's hope it's all cancelled again. With KEiiNO's non-qualification being the reason.
 
I like Monument but the chorus sounded like an EMELIE SANDE chorus. Maybe it's a good thing that they're going for something a little different but you can't deny the earth-shattering OOMPH of Spirit In The Sky.

His contribution really works for me...it doesn't detract in the same way as Aqua bloke did. Obviously its use in songs might do with some tweaking but it gives them a sometimes necessary added layer.
 
Oh I like baldy! He brings something and I’m not mad about it. I like all of them actually.

Plus don’t forget Beyoncé needed Michelle and Latavia to shine even more.
 
They need to work out what to do with Tom to do though, at the moment it feels a bit like he's gatecrashing an Alexandra/Fred duet.
