Well, there we have it. All 40 of your entries have been unleashed like a swarm of locusts.

Now it’s time for the Moopy populace to decide which of them are the best and most succulent.

As I said in the viewing party threads, there will be two voting methods, one mandatory for all entrants, and one optional and like, fun and relatable!


MAIN VOTING
Give points to your top 14 songs in the typical Eurovision-esque style - 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 12, 14, 16 and 20. If that wasn't obvious, only one song gets each score.

You may NOT vote for your own entry, you silly girl.

All entrants must vote in this section, under pain of torture, and also a 117 point penalty.

Voting CLOSES at 23.59 GMT, WEDS 27th JANUARY


MOOP CONGENIALITY VOTING (optional)
While I did say there was no theme, I did wish that 2021 could start with a bit of FUN.

So with that in mind, you can also award a GOLD STAR to a maximum of THREE entries you deem to be the most FUN. They can be any of the 40 songs, including ones you didn’t give points to.

The song with the most stars, which does NOT win the overall competition, will win the inaugural title of ASFM Moop Congeniality. This prize cannot be traded in for extra points, it’s just the warm glowing warming glow of satisfaction that you've made a difference.

While I think about it, when do you want the user reveal?

3 options only
1) Thursday 28th, 13.00
2) Saturday 30th, 13.00 (or maybe an hour or two later)
3) Sunday 31st, 10.30 (just before the results). That's a shit idea isn't it?
 
While I appreciate @ZenGiraffe‘s recaps and the work he puts in I’m not happy at all with my clip this time. It’s like a completely random/irrelevant bit was chosen and the song is definitely not a case of Es Schneit. Maybe it would be a good idea if we got to choose our own clips in the future which would also make things easier for whoever is doing the recaps?
 
Yes, my clip wasn’t the best either but at least if I flop I know what to blame.
 
Is this real life?
I don’t think the fortunes of the winning song will be derailed by the recap. Aren’t people voting on the song rather than the clip?
 
Who the hell votes based on the recap?!

I'm happy with mine. I mean, the chorus is in there which is all I can ask for. I'm aware some songs don't have choruses so that must be troubling for them

I doubt he sits through the entirety of the 40 songs to determine the best snippets though. The recaps look difficult enough to put together without that added pressure. I'm genuinely not sure which one you mean either, so I don't think it's as as big a problem as you think it is.
 
I might send Zen my preferred recap time stamps to the MILLISECOND next time :disco:

I am aware of that which is why I offered a solution. :)

Anyway, Zen knew exactly which song I was talking about and PM’d me about it.
 
I haven’t read the thread but I’m going to assume the response to my song was unanimously euphoric and live in that space until the results shatter my dreams. Again.

I’m fingering your for one of the dance tracks - I’ve only briefly flirted with the first set of tracks, but I wouldn’t be surprised if yours was Disco Hearts or Open Eyes.
 
There seemed to be fewer obvious ones. I'm not even sure which one Indie sent. Or Suomi sent. Or Zen sent. Pretty sure I know what ZZ sent.
