Lana Del Rey - HONEYMOON sync

The Blackest Day is surely the (joint) greatest track of her CAREER.

a dark masterpiece. I mean every song on this album is dark but by dark I mean grim and utterly hopeless - the story of somebody who just cannot TAKE IT ANYMORE. it's all about the dire despair of that "ever since my baby went away..." followed by the HARD SWERVE into her lower register as she goes DEEPER AND DEEPER. I mean this is art, it's exquisite.

It's not one of those phases I'm going through
Or just a song, it's not one of them
I'm on my own
On my own
On my own again
I'm on my own again
I'm on my own again

OK now she's spoiling us. I mean, she made us wait for these, but suddenly here's a second 10, right behind the first like a London bus.

hmmmm-mmm-mmmm-HMMMMM
hmmmm-mmm-mmmm-HMMMMM...

it's not hard to see why they didn't choose this song (it went to Adele with Skyfall instead right?) but god it's a terrific nailing of the "Bond, but make it moody pastiche" brief.

if you lie down
with DOGS
then you'll get...
FLEEEAAAAAAAS

the filth of this line :D it's such a READ!

Does it even get that much recognition from her or her fans? Outside of Moopy it seems largely forgotten!
I think it is widely considered the pinnacle of her career from what I've seen elsewhere (pre-NFR anyway)!
