Monday - Part 1 - Viewing Party

It's tough though isn't it? I don't know what an alternative would be. The schools are trying to do their best, I've seen loads get sh*t because they're not sending out enough stuff for the kids too. Just do your best, at this age I'm sure they'll pick up what they've missed very quickly.

Oh yeah my beef is with the government, its come from them. The schools have been dumped right in it.

Also, I know this is a silly thing to say, and I'm sure you're not, but try not to be too negative about it all infront of little big ron junior. I worry sometimes that kids pick up on their parents vibes and get more stressed.

If anything he's the one who's been getting more stressed/upset. He's been a bit down this weekend and I now know it is because we left him to the school stuff last week, assuming that's how it should be done, and it was too much. Sitting in today I saw most kids had a parent with them helping, and he seemed a lot happier with us helping. We're lucky we have 1 kid, and have a lot of flexibility around work. I can't imagine how people with 3 kids and full time work are coping.

I have found home schooling easier this time around as they are using an app and have video links with the teacher at the beginning of class, and can put their hand up virtually if they need any assistance. I am just checking in to make sure he isn’t playing on his phone, or nipped to his room to have a shot on the Xbox but he is quite a good lad really, and fortunately takes his brains from his Dad.

Yeah that's what we have and I thought that would be the case, but think its a bit harder to adapt when you're 8 :(

Anyway he did well this morning and I'm quite glad to be a part of his education again all things told.

Was going to bed, but ended up watching my latest fixation, Sakana-kun. He’s a minor Japanese celebrity who is an expert on fish, he has catchphrases and a puffer fish hat, questionable eyebrows and a high pitched voice. I sort of love him.

I just watched him making a fish model from its original skin, he made new eyes from some sort of modelling clay, and painted it whoreishly

I do like his cute hat!

Just keep at it babe. I can imagine it will be a lot harder for a primary school aged kid, but you aren’t doing anything wrong and have been thrown in at the deep end. Ron Jr sounds like a bright kid, and I am sure what you are teaching him is grand. Hopefully this madness will be over soon enough.x

@Diddy are these crisps still on sale?

Oh all the reviews I’ve seen are 10 years old, so I guess they aren’t available any more.

I forgot to ask, WHY? :D
