ASFM: Diddyvision - VOTING CLOSED (results Sunday 12.00 GMT)

My song seemed to get 80% good comments, I think, but there's no chance of mass appeal and even if it does "break out", there's a whole bunch of songs here that will achieve that on a bigger scale. Probably.

I think about 18th. Who fucking knows though - I came second in the Christmas one and there was no sign of THAT in the pre-party chit chat.

It’s quite hard to call this time. People seemed to loon over Despina as well as witchy bitch. I’m obviously hoping something darker might pull through.

The Despina looning was odd. We’d had similar songs in previous ASFMs which were slated. I’m not sure what’s so different about ‘Gia’.
 
My money is on Marcia for the win. I'm concerned that it might be another Suomi submission. He'd just become unbearable.
 
If Marcia wins I'd be disappointed, it really wasn't all that special, and there have been much better older ASFM entries that deserved to win much more. #JusticeForJulie
 
Whenever someone compliments a song, I just assume it’s their song and they’re trying to build hype

Yes, 1000 Eyes is AMAZING - I gave it high marks along with the witch and the Kazakh babes.
 
Oh Kazakhstan was ALRIGHT but just sort of THERE. I have no inclination to go back unlike others.
 
Kazakhstan was a spectacular video surrounded by an average song. I wouldn't be surprised if it was actually on Spotify but its submitter wanted to make sure that we couldn't listen to it without the video in order to notice that.

It really lost a huge amount without watching the video when you twig that it sounds like a Liberty X reject from about 2003.

This, of course, still means it's worth points
 
The Malfa song will probably win. Some of the other dance bangers washed over me, so it could be one of them, but Malfa stood out more.

Or Koo De Tah. That would be grand
 
Yeah 1000 Eyes has definitely been my big discovery of this ASFM.

I haven’t a CLUE what will win though.
 
My main takeaways have been Marcia, Koo De Tah and that Nicola girl. Also been playing Disco Hearts.

That 1000 Eyes completely bypassed me, but listening again it sounds good.
 
I’m predicting somewhere in the upper top 40 for me.

Marcia and the Witch deserve nothing more than nil points.
