NO THREAD YET?

happy new week to Lana Del Rey only :disco:

I'm having a very lazy morning (one document opened, one Slack message sent, no work touched or even contemplated yet) and justifying it by telling myself it's gonna be another bitch of a week later.

did a nice ABS SMASH workout this morning that left me feeling REAL TIGHT so yay for the healing powers of light exercise.

how are y'all? :disco:

I was just looking for the daily thread!

I'm now on the last day of my working week and then off until Saturday. Hoping for some bright days, which will entice me out on my bike. Also, this week I ramp up my flat hunting as I need to move in the first half of March :disco:

I think I food poisoned myself a bit last night. :(

Mr F told me not to eat the two lemon and fresh cream cupcakes from the fridge that were a couple of days out of date. Obviously I ignored him and troughed them both because they tasted OK, but I barely made it to the sink to throw up in the night and have done so three times since. My stomach feels like somebody's using a potato-peeler on the lining. I can't even spend the day on the sofa because I've too much work to do. Woe is me.

Were they delicious, though?

I keep trying to fix my sleeping pattern and it ONLY GETS WORSE.

What a fabulous title on this fabulous supersunny snowy monday.

Having a nice FAT TARTIFLETTE at work today mmmm

there is no way I am putting in more than one hour of work today, I am exhausted from the chablis and valpolicella last night

That looks lovely, someone send recipe (or @Alex post me some of yours when you cook it please xx)

I have played about 8 games of chess in the last few days against Mr Ag and lost them all. Shows what a SNEAKY CUNT he is.

I’ve felt a bit dodgy since Friday night and it’s still not shifting

dead by the morning loves :disco:

Took a day off. I have another couple of days to take before our holiday year ends. Went for a walk for a couple of hours. Quite enjoyed it - came up with a couple of ideas.

And now you’ve thrown up there’s room for more!

Sadly I don't have any more. They were Mr F's cakes, I ate both of my chocolate and cherry muffins on Friday night.

He's not a big cake fan but I always get him some too so that I can leave them in the fridge for a couple of days, tell him that he has to eat them today because they're going out of date and when he says he doesn't want them I eat them so they weren't wasted. It's a marriage thing :D

Whilst on the food poisoning talk, I hope I’m not the only one that opens smoked salmon/cooked meats etc and doesn’t follow the “once opened consumed with in x days” advice.

On a similar note, I hope I'm not the only one who eats moldy old food I find from years ago

Literally just had some hummus and dippy carrots from a week and half ago and have yoghurts in the fridge that are nearly a month out of date. I find best before dates hugely over-cautious.

Having grown up in a time when there weren't any use by dates on things from butchers and greengrocers I do the smell test and if it smells OK and feels OK (not slimy) it's fair game. I will also pick mould off bread to make toast if there's only the odd growth.

I’m a more careful with meats but generally if something looks and smells OK then i’m eating it

Well I clearly don't eat moldy old food, but sell-by/best-by dates are bullshit and if the food looks and smells fine it is fine

or exactly what @Alex already said

Omg some of you are living DANGEROUSLY! I’ve had enough food poisonings to know not to keep anything beyond its 'best before'. I usually use or get rid of at the latest a day or two before said date!

What? I’m FRAGILE :shy::(
