Seriously thought Madamme Ketchup eyes Suicide-Lizzie was that witch I kept reading references to, and that she was topping this quite the thing.

And speaking of evil witches, I'm delighted to have received any points at all. I adore it, but knew an ersatz Brian Molko was a tough sell regardless of wig wearing Wretzy's breathless turn as a bitchy pill gulping floozy.

Diddy your diddy-isms were up to standard and then some. Well done, the innovations did not disappoint.

Late to the party as ever, i love taking part in these but the time zone difference means I'm very rarely about for any "live" happenings, aside from the fact i tend to lurk rather than contribute but bravo to all! This was the best ASFM yet, so many keepers. :disco: Thanks to all those who sent points the way of the 1000 eyed kiwi. Very chuffed with another Top 10 - yay!
 
I started reading this on Sunday as it was happening, then got distracted, then didn't bother logging in for a few days :D

Thank you for all the votes for the bit of Welsh. Especially @jyxz (I think) who gave me the 20! And I enjoyed each of us giving the other their 16 points, @HerSereneHighnessAnniFrid. That felt like a special moment of musical unity :disco:
 
However, just missing the top 20. I don't like this, and I don't like being down here. It reeks of bitterness and failure in these depths. Who are these people? Some of them seem like they've been down here a LONG TIME. Some of them don't even look like they want to escape!

AGOG that Nova Miller nearly won. Was it @Ag who said something like "why is this shit doing so well" before realizing he'd given it points? :D I feel that happened to a few of us. It's a good pop song, and I gave it a handful I think, but I didn't think it would be storming the chart like that!

The winner is fine, well done @RJN. I'd have preferred Koo De Tah from the top lot. At least we're getting a variety of winners as things go along.
 
I'm actually a bit sad for @Rita :D I mean I hated it personally, but there seemed to be a lot of love for the song, so no idea how it ended up at 26.

Poor @Beryl on the floor underneath the Doctor Who filth. Ultimate twist!
 
I think I've only missed the top 20 twice before - once in ZenGiraffe's speed round which, for my own purposes, I'm choosing to see as a fun side game and not "canon" because it suits me, and Soldivision, where I came 25th (and technically last) but that had the added thrill of qualification which felt like some success was involved.

This is, well...I'll be rush releasing my next single. And it won't be in Welsh.
 
Zen Giraffe's game is the most canon of them all. There was no room for politics or trying to please people, just some downright fantastic songs. The people who did well in that round are clearly amongst the most intelligent and attractive people on the forum with unquestionably the best musical taste.
