Moopy Lockdown Entertainment Schedule (LAST UPDATED 24 March)

Actually, it's a bit less than that. I'd imagine it'll finish on 9th or thereabouts but it starts on Sunday.

Can we amend the schedule to state that, please?
 
I've not tried it yet, but I've seen people online talking about JQBX, which is a site where you link your Spotify account to make a communal 'DJ room' where people can listen to stuff together (and listeners can vote on the songs etc). It sounds a bit like that Plug DJ site from years ago that was popular for a while - maybe we could use it for some event or other?
 
Noted that Tim's Twitter Listening Party is doing SOPHIE's "Oil.." at 7pm on the 14th. Can we tag along and do it on here at the same time? 40 minutes. I mean, no-one will be out for Valentine's Day.

I'm GUESSING the usual Saturday combo of Masked Singer followed by some Eurovision thing is still happening tomorrow?

or is there a slot after Masked Singer free?

We have a Eurovision related schedule in the Eurovision forum! I don’t think the rest of Moopy needs to know that it’s the Lithuanian national final at about half eight tomorrow.

That said the excitement and fun did seem to step up a notch having them on a weekend, but obviously Saturdays are a no-go at the moment. I'd kindly ask you then to save up all your booze and pills and SNIFF for Sunday evening then, after which everything will appear seamless and mistake-free :)

But yeah, if it's all good with everyone, pencil me in for Sunday 21st. That'll be a week after Tisch's so makes sense and I assume we don't want to skip a week
 
So this is literally MONTHS AWAY but I thought it’d throw it to the floor and see if there’d be any interest. I’m thinking of hosting another Best of Eurovision National Finals night following @ButterTart’s very successful event a couple weeks ago. I remember a couple of others were interested in running one themselves so I thought about hosting mine in May, around Eurovision time to capitalise on what will likely be an increasingly popular time on Moopy (and presumably with a BIT more space in the schedule).

I have a few dates in mind; the Friday or Saturday the week before Eurovision (14th/15th May), the Friday night before the final (21st May) or the Sunday after Eurovision (23rd May).

I’d have thought we’d all have EURO FATIGUE (and a stonking hangover) on the Sunday and people might want a break following the semi-finals on the Friday, so I’m aiming for the week before, but want to put it to the floor first.

I’m working on trying to get every country (at least that I’ve followed a NF in) in the mix (and this isn’t a criticism of BT’s event at all!! When I first compiled a list it was MOSTLY Melodifestivalen songs :D). However, I’ve never followed an Azerbaijani selection or heaven forbid have never watched X FACTOR MALTA so there will be a FEW omissions!

Sounds ace. I think Azerbaijan have only ever had like two national finals and they were shit.

Not just this year! Although I certainly expect some to be included! :D

(Although if we wanted to make it a really eventful night someone could run a ‘Best of 2021’ too)

I'd been toying with the idea but was waiting to find a date that worked; it would be hard to fit in around ESC100. I would strongly suggest avoiding Eurovision week itself (i.e. 21st or 23rd); that period is so full-on..

Also... I'm not sure there's enough NF songs for you, me, and @ButterTart to do our own separate things; what if we pooled our ideas together (if you're looking for suggestions of course)?
 
I will try to work out a date for the final Eurovision 100 event so we can work future events into the diary.

I would be into us creating a list of choices each.
I will say I have 188 songs on my shortlist for the next one so I’m not anticipating overlap :D
 
It looks like if the semis go to plan plus an extra chance vote, we'll be ready to do the final by early or mid April.
