What's something you've changed your mind on?

SHHHHH, DC is here.

I was going to put some salt on my chips tonight, but i decided not to.

Then i decided not to have chips at all.

I decided not to even eat. Or breathe.

Poltergeist!

Always thought it was overrated Steven Spielberg cartoon SHITE and the third film was the only one worth watching but I saw it again a couple of years ago and it really is a fabulous classic.

I really have to resist the urge to say "CAROLAAAAN" in a really high voice everytime soneone mentions Poltergeist.:ghost:

I’ve really lost my appetite for super hero shows/movies. I used to get excited for Marvel movies but these days I just find them so by the numbers.

Still watch them but I care for them less and less with each new addition. I think they peaked with Winter Soldier for me and it’s all been downhill with the exception of Spider-Man.

Ranch dressing (is this a thing outside of the US?) - used to hate it , love it now

It seems like an America only thing. I used to hate it and I still do! I can't even stand the smell

Love and Relationships? I wouldn't say I've "changed" my mind per se but I realise that my definition of these things was very narrow-minded when I was younger and when I grew up because I only saw one form of it (and bless my parents, still happily married after almost 40 years) but both come in many shapes and forms and as long as you're happy, it doesn't matter how either manifest.

I made a list when I was about 10 of all the things I would NEVER DO. By 20 I'd broken them all. By 30 I'd broken some of the things on the list THOUSANDS of times.

Aubergines, ranch, whisky, and then I WALK IN WITH THE DEEP SOUL-SEARCHING BLUBBERING.

Well done on reading the room, me!

Also Spinach. Used to make me throw up it (particularly creamed), now I'm happy to add it into stir-fries, lasagna and stuff.

Dogs.

I was always scared of them and hated going to people’s houses if they had dogs. I was very much against having one but hubby eventually persuaded me and now I don’t think I’ll ever live without a dog again.

When I think back to how rude and dismissive I used to be about other people’s dogs, I feel awful.

So what were your thoughts on relationships before and after, bubba?

Still despise them. I won't visit a house with one. I make it clear to my nearest and dearest that when they consider getting one, that this is the case.

Omg @Ag but my dog is so cute and everyone loves her. She has made me much more confident with other dogs.

Depends on the dog really. They’re such a huge responsibility though so I’d never get one, but can see myself having a King Charles Cavalier in retirement one day.

I’m lucky in that she is a therapy dog so she comes to school with me every day. But for the first year of her life she was left at home all day with one visit from a dog walker at lunchtime. She was fine!

Have they all mysteriously bought dogs since?
