I really. REALLY don't think him going DTF is a done deal in any way.

I also very much believe Paul might not even qualify.

I don't think him going DTF is a done deal at all, but I think pinning your hopes on threading the two needles of Danny going to AC and Paul not even qualifying is, uh, a bit of a hard lift

I always set my hopes unrealistically high and I've been surprised at how often that decision's been validated the last couple of years. I believed Omar and Oscar wouldn't qualify, Anna and Dotter would both go DTF, Felix would flop...
 
So do the two who go to ac sing again today and one of them goes to the final? Or is ac it’s own thing on a different day

It's a separate semi-final which is in a duel format. Christer puts anything young with a cock up against an absolute no-hoper, then just leaves the actual interesting songs to fight it out because he doesn't care about them.

AC's a different thing in four weeks after all the heats are done - two tracks from each heat go into it for eight entries, which make up four duels

If Horizon doesn’t go DTF I am going to have an absolute meltdown. I’m sorry, I really didn’t want to do this again because I know it’s not healthy, but the song speaks to my soul so much that the thought of the important message not going through is just too much

I don't want to give you false hope but I genuinely believe it'll go DTF. The landscape of the contest has changed so much in two years that it would surprise me more if Danny or Paul went DTF than it would if she or Arvingarna did.
Bishara aside, the quality of qualifiers has greatly improved the last couple of years.

Okay girls, I’ve got to go off to Hammerfell now. I’ve literally just called everyone I know in Sweden to guarantee votes for Jessica, even a few relatives of my friends.

I will be back later and I hope what I find is the brave new utopia that J. Andersson dared to dream.

To Jessica's credit though, in the past I've seen her more restrained in rehearsals but then pull all stops at the live shows so hoping she does that.
 
I've deliberately avoided hearing any of the songs so far so am looking forward to the second coming of christ in two hours' time.
