Morning LOVES!

The much promised snow didn't materialise here, but then it never does snow in Southsea and I always pop a WRY SMILE at any WEATHER GIRL who suggests otherwise. Or rather, I like to say, "Snow? HAVE WE GOT NEEEEEEWS FOR YOU (YOU'D BETTER LISTEN!)".
 
It’s COLD, though. Max of 2 degrees today. 1 degree off my favourite amount of degrees :disco:
 
last winter I don't think we dipped below 0, this winter is like a month of DEEP FREEZING. minus 4 today, feels like minus 12 because of the wind

Good morning all! Had a headache for much of yesterday and was so fatigued. Guessing that might be due to the anxiety medication I've been prescribed. Got a good night's sleep though so hopefully today will be better.
 
It snowed last night but turned back to rain :(

Although today looks like it might be the last day the temperatures above freezing here for about a WEEK! :o
 
It's actually quite blizzardy here now. Well windy. It's beginning to lay on the road. I just popped out to save some daffodils. It was slippery as well.
 
We have NOTHING TO WRITE HOME ABOUT snow wise. Quarter of an inch IF THAT. I really wish it would just SNOW US IN.
 
Not because of the snow. I mean is Lolly OK as I haven’t seen anything from him in DAYS?
 
Hmmmm. I don’t think I have known Moopy without a Lolly post in more than 3 days. Hope he is alright.
 
I checked when he'd last visited yesterday. He's been recently on so I think (hope) he's just waiting for the other stuff to blow over.
 
Took the dog for a longer than usual walk as a special treat but I hadn't realised how cold it was outside so I was just in t-shirt, cardigan and light coat with no gloves, scarf or hat. Ridley always walks fast at the beginning of the walk which gets the blood pumping so I didn't notice just how cold it was until he started slowing down a couple of miles from home. By the time we got home, getting slower with each 100 yards, my ears were numb but hurting and my hands could barely turn the door-handle and now it feels like my ears are on fire.

Look out the woolly hat, gloves and thermal long Johns Floppet. It’s set to get BLOODY BALTIC as we go through the week.
 
So I went and cooked my Mum a roast and sank the third of a bottle of red left over from last night, opened a bottle of white and she decided she only wanted one glass so I've had 3/4 of a bottle of that too and now am on the DANGEROUS HALF DRUNK PRECIPICE of fucking it and just opening another bottle and being fast asleep by 8...

egged on by the fiercely homesexual talk about sealant yesterday, I decided to start painting the kitchen, something I have put off for far too long, and which quickly led to things needed sealing, grouting, caulking... I'm a mess!

@Floppet I believe law regulates installations here so that they have to be easy and quick to fix yourself. I've changed a couple of taps in my life without problem
 
Just back from the snowy park. Loved it! Great to see people en masse as well. I actually felt quite giddy with joy for the first time in months!

I just popped out on the balcony and there is the absolutely MILDEST of flurries. Probably two flakes but NO MORE. It never snows here.
 
Little wispy flakes in West London. A friend out east has a covering though. Mum in Norfolk and Dad in Kent both have a fair bit.

My proper winter hat (double knitted with ear flaps), scarf and dog-walking gloves (mittens where the mitteny bit folds backwards so they become fingerless gloves) are all on the chair behind me. I walked past them on my way out :D

the wall I painted today is just white :square: it's the one where the stove is so it gets pretty worn and needed a heavy stroke

I'm thinking about painting the window area a deep/marine blue however. I don't want to spend money on a new kitchen although it would make sense, so I'm painting a corpse so to speak for the time being

I wish it was like that over here. Every time I try to mend or replace something in this house I discover another bodge-job that takes five times longer and costs five times more to sort out than it should.
 
Oooh my local park was on the national news enjoying the snow. Not the one I went to, but nice to see non murder coverage of the town.
