Unusual things you watch on YouTube

I have been watching YouTube a lot more in recent weeks and have realised I have a bit of a fascination with Turkish barber massages, chiropractor back cracking and, erm, people having the hard skin peeled off their feet... all very therapeutic especially before bed!

I was into Japanese apartment tour videos for a while, which led me to small space architecture/design videos (Never Too Small is a good place to start if you fancy going down that particular rabbit hole).

My young nephew has a train obsession, it’s a very male thing isn’t it. He can happily sit and just watch an hour of trains chugging away.

It's from the drivers point of view. It's just lots of pretty snowy scenes.

Oh that’s a bit different.

Honestly YouTube has just amplified how as humans we just really enjoy the seemingly mundane. There really is a niche for absolutely everybody.

A guy that constructs huts and earth ovens in nature. No commentary, just him working and the sounds of nature.

I also got into old Supernanny clips last year. I absolutely adore this girl, Megan, who corrects Supernanny’s speech and later on attacks her.

I watched way too many US election YouTube commentators in the run up to November that they make about 90% of my recommendations now.

Ex America's Next Model contestants talking about the show now their NDA's are up
Stuff about the London underground
Murders
Geography, specifically borders
Languages, either modern day, or how they came to be
A guy playing Geogessr
I dig murder. Any recommendations?

That reminds me, I went through a phase of doing a Wikipedia deep-dive on murderers, found out so much more about the Wests.

Videos about how people live their lives in other countries

Videos about people who mysteriously vanish in National Parks.

It’s not Youtube but I can go to different places in the world on Google Maps and explore for hours.

Omg same! I keep getting the ‘Let’s Talk Elections’ one. I’m all for a bit of political analysis but it really is to early to care about the 2022 midterms.

But not the 2021 Virginia gubernatorial race!

I’ve never seen any about there! I’ve been really fascinated by South America lately
Yeah, I follow him. A few of the popular left wing commentators. I just don't care about internal US politics, when there's no devil involved.

I feel like this wasn’t meant to be in response to my post maybe?

Experts reviewing Skincare products
Reaction videos to "Go to bed with (enter big celebrity name)#
437 Easter Eggs you didn't see in each WandaVision episode
How to hack your SNES Mini to add more games
Boyband + Girl band videos showing their vocal distribution with color-coded lyrics :D
Dr. Pimple Popper or similar videos
Trixie and Katya as Two Queens who like to watch (But this isn't unusual at all, hopefully!)
Random, creepy bug fights (Spoiler alert: Scorpions do not always win :( )

Never heard of him. Just subscribed!
He's quite jolly and sarcastic and an absolute geek when it comes to London stations.

There's another train guy, who's quite weathered and veers way too into trainspotting for my liking.
