Unusual things you watch on YouTube

Experts reviewing Skincare products
Reaction videos to "Go to bed with (enter big celebrity name)#
437 Easter Eggs you didn't see in each WandaVision episode
How to hack your SNES Mini to add more games
Boyband + Girl band videos showing their vocal distribution with color-coded lyrics :D
Dr. Pimple Popper or similar videos
Trixie and Katya as Two Queens who like to watch (But this isn't unusual at all, hopefully!)
Random, creepy bug fights (Spoiler alert: Scorpions do not always win :( )
Weirdly I can watch gross foot videos but the pimple ones I just can’t stand.

He's quite jolly and sarcastic and an absolute geek when it comes to London stations.

There's another train guy, who's quite weathered and veers way too into trainspotting for my liking.
Is this Geoff? I like him! And do you know the Map Men? A bit "quirky" but really funny.

Oh yes Geoff. Some of his content is often good, but as I say it's bit on the side of trainspotting for me.

Jago is more focused on the history, town planning of it all which I'm absolutely RIGID for.

And yes @Tisch I know Map Men. He's very long. I note they've upped their content in the last year.

I’ve wanted to do a youtube topic where we share some interesting non-music related stuff.

I watch a lot of geography, historical maps, geopolitics and such videos. There are plenty that are educative and mostly addictive.

There's so much 'educational, not actually very educational by any existing standard' out there.

I really hate that faux posh British bald guy with a beard, who does a massive variety of such stuff. Such a [REDACTED] .

Unusual stuff though is when I’ve been having stiff neck and ended up in a rabbit hole or chiropractic videos and then into ASMR massage videos... there seems to be an endless number of the latter all filmed in Turkish barbershops. :D:horny:

Link please?

I've been thinking of doing something on UK gay history, as I've explored the subject academically for a few years and know who to read and what's interesting etc. Plus there's nothing similar out there.

Unfortunately having looked into it I need way more technical skills and equipment, which I just can't afford.

Recently been binging on Chi With A C. Agog that's she's just a kid, so dry and funny.
Honestly she's a Moopy icon in the making.
I hate to be 'that guy' but I saw a few of her videos before she really took off and was astounded at how on point her impressions are. She also did a hilarious one where she replaced all the photos in her house with Gemma Collins and waited for her mum's reaction. I love her.

Oh I like this guy! :D It's amazing how everyone he meets is so drawn to him. I don't know if I like him more, or the weird places he visits.

And when she called back the BBC after an interview and ended up ringing them on screen live on air. :D

Not sure if it's the same one. This guy presents from his home.

On this, does anyone have advice on putting together videos? Particularly in terms of sourcing imagery and editing.

Also love her! She is a brilliant all-round impressionist for one and just naturally very watchable and funny. I was howling at parts of this:

There's a channel I subscribe to called Tasting History, which is just a bloke who makes recipes from historical sources. Sort of like the bit Bake Off used to have when they sent Mel or Sue off to learn about the history of DIGESTIVES or something.

I don't get ASMR - not in a 'why do people enjoy that? It's weird' way, but in a 'actual visceral negative reaction to it' way. It makes me feel unwell. I SQUIRM.

I don't usually like watching people playing video games, but Juno Birch is COMPELLING.

The disgusting (for some) blackhead removals and pimple popping isn’t that weird these days, is it? They’re incredibly popular.

Lots of videos from Dr. Mike. He’s just totally smokin’

I’ve got a bit of a pic n mix of you lot

@Ag I was watching that Norway train too, when I prepare my lessons at home. It’s better than silence and not distracting (except the sponsored noises)

@Tisch I’m on the geography porn too, but there are a lot of shit ones that are just lists with stuff read off Wikipedia. I listened to one where he talked about how many people live in Ireland, but he pronounced “live” like a live show, twice, and I thought “omg is this a computer reading it?”. There’s a nice Scottish guy I listened to a lot though, forgot his name

@Madison I was watching Sudoku ones too :D it did start me playing then again after I picked up some techniques

for the Norwegian train people there's also the Hurtigruten ferry, this stretch of fjords is just lovely

Full BBC coverage of old athletics championships from the 80s. Something pleasing about watching every qualifying jump in the women’s long jump.

Ha! Yeah there's a lot of that. One of the murder videos I watched talked about a guy travelling to the city of "Dew-bleen" in Ireland :bruised:
