Moopy Jukebox evening - interest gauging thread

Hi all!

@COB brought up recently the idea of one evening where we could do a Moopy Jukebox event, in which we would all log in to a room set up on JQBX.fm where we can chat, drink, and play each other some of our choice cuts. I believe it's essentially a chat room with a music queue.

Would this be of interest? I would propose a Friday night, so I've put the three Fridays after the Zoom in a poll.

I don't know too much about the site myself (but will investigate), so if anyone's used it or something similar, let us know any titbits!

I will do a test run, but essentially yes, although I think they queue up in orderly fashion rather than random.

Yes, you can be a listener without playing any songs yourself - you'll be able to listen to the songs and use the chat

You can pass around the DJ, so to speak. So other people can take the reigns.

I'm just trying it out for the first time so it's a bit trial and error!

NEWS: This is currently being tested, and works well! I recommend you either use a laptop or download the mobile app.

The biggest problem is potentially that you need Spotify premium. You can sign up for a 30 day free trial and I am happy to do a post on here later reminding people to cancel.

Although it was firmly meant for music, it used YouTube videos rather than just songs. I remember @Madison queuing the 1992 election results.
