Melodifestivalen 2021: Deltävling Two

I’m not 100% sold on ‘Little Tot’ as a title, but the song and performance is excellent - I love the switch up between the quieter first post-chorus and the bombast of the second. An easy top 5 placement in Rotterdam, at the least. It helps that Dotter’s diction is absolutely shocking, so other than her not wanting the YOOF to be like us, I’m not sure I caught much else.

I refuse to believe that in the 7 years he’s been away, Anton hasn’t attempted to learn any other choreography. Change the record, dear. His vocal in the first verse was actually pretty solid, but the reprise showed him up to be totally incompetent.

I loved the 90s LADS (especially the shorter one) so I'm quite sad they're gone

Also LOVED Little Tot but I kind of wish they'd gone with the strong song + memorable visual element formula again

I think the performance of Little Tot is a total slam dunk, but I imagine she's still got the jacket left over from last year if they want to actually give that gimmick an outing at Eurovision!

Yes I was wondering about her using last year's outfit, although waggling her disco tits probably isn't the right message for a song to her childhood self.

It's surprisingly similar. I'm glad he's updated his sound since his natural days.
Once again, it's really not similar at all with the sole exception of it using the Schaffel beat, which I Kissed A Girl is by no means the only song to have ever done. The actual song it resembles is this:

I genuinely would say New Religion is more similar to Youngblood than Rich was to Royals. Rich might have still been shamelessly Lorde-inspired but it least it largely had the decency to come up with a new chorus!

I’ll tell you what - how fucking dare she just do a genre-defining strut so soon into the performance, I nearly rang the police to say that my Dotter was out of control. It was post-apocalyptic couture and we were blessed to get 18 seconds of it, let alone 180. When the first post-chorus was just the sparse version of what was to come later, it was like taking candy from a baby. Incredible scenes, and I don’t wish to comment on anything else at this moment in time out of respect.

I don't whether to LAUGH or CRY at this week's AC tickets and Anton's reprise from hell.

Also, Oscar Zia is also releasing very passable pop på svenska now. Good for him.

I thought that was a super strong semi. I liked all seven songs to varying degrees. Anton himself is shit, but in the hands of a better singer it would be a good song. I kinda feel the opposite of Dotter - she brings star power to a song that's decent, but not amazing.

I'm really not seeing the issue with the name 'Little Tot'. A few years back, Sweden decided 'undo my sad, undo what hurts so bad' was an acceptable rhyming couplet to send to Eurovision, so a weird title that makes perfect sense in the context of the song really isn't that shocking.

Help, I can't stop listening to NEW RELIGION :D
I’ve found that staring at this face for 10 seconds cures any urges.

Is there any video from de press conference? I think it was obvious he wasn't just nervous during the reprise.

Isn't just me who doesn't find Anton attractive AT ALL? I understand why he's the cutie of the evening for many, but I don't even find him good looking.

Yikes.

He's been drifting around LA for half a decade as a failed actor, probably a fairly easy environment to get sucked into a nasty drug habit, if that is indeed what's going on with him.
