Actually, it’s a measurement of time too.

Regardless, we all have limits. How much younger would you go (both for sex and for a relationship) and how much old would you go (ditto)?
 
Ever since I read the Hitchhiker's Guide I've been committed to only dating people who are 42.

It makes long term relationships very difficult :(

It's supposed to be half of your age plus 7 should be your minimum threshold.

EDIT: Just realised my original claim that I can go as low as 23 is incorrect, because 37/2 does not equal 16.

I've never been into younger guys and always fancied slightly older men, but then, I was YOUNG then.

Now I'm getting on a bit I'd probably go early 20s easily, and the older guy thing remains

The danger in liking older men is that you get too old for them, the indignity. I like older, but a little younger is okay. I'd say younger than 28 it would be highly unlikely for me to want to go there unless my phone had no battery and I was stranded after a night out. We've all been there. Mid 40s is good, but 30s is a very hot decade looks wise/physically too. Happy to make exceptions as quite frankly the more variety the better.
 
Sex I tend not to go under 25 but I can make the odd exception. Fucking an 18 year old really WOULD feel a bit OFF unless they've clearly been at it a while (I can't be doing with fucking actual VIRGINS). Anything up to about 55 is fine but even then there aren't any hard and fast rules (other than a general sense that someone over 60 is really going to have to have WORKED AT IT for me to actually find them appealing).

Relationships are anywhere between 25 and 40, but if they're rich I can probably stretch the upper bound to 50.
 
I met with someone once who said he was 19 and later revealed he was 16, which I know is legal but it really panicked me at the time. The rule for a bit had to be if they didn’t remember Diana’s death, it was a no.
 
There are boys who are younger than I Believe In You by Kylie that are legal to sleep with.

Relationship-wise, after being burned a few times I’m reluctant to go younger than 30, haven’t been with many older guys though so not sure about that.

That being said I did suck off a 20 year old last night
