MONDAY GETS ITS LIFE BACK

The first day in 2021 of being allowed to "sit on a park bench with a friend and have a coffee" and it's raining. Thanks, world.
 
Oh God I've got a Teams meeting with my main client this afternoon, all of whom are VERY STRAIGHT. I normally avoid these things for good reason, and in any case my boundaries at work have historically been appalling, which is why it's better that I usually work at home on my own with the door locked

*launches into hysterical, sibilant-heavy screech about Sanremo in response to "How was your weekend?"*
 
Good Morning my darlings. Am I allowed to sit outside with a friend for a coffee? What about for a cigarette? I only smoke after sex.
 
Have just had a pre-meeting call to settle those nerves and here's a transcript

Him: Y'alright mate?
Me: OMG MELONDY FESTIVOL CHARLENE PARRY OMG DID YOU SEE FRANCESCA'S DRESS STILL DEVOSTATED ABOUT KEENO MONMENT OMG HA WHAT SLAY

In the past year, any time I encounter a situation in life, be it novel or routine, I always stop and ask myself, "What would @Suomi do?".

It has had a significant impact on my quality of life, but at least it keeps things interesting!

On Sunday I was late to hanging out with my friends, because of the sync listen, so to explain I lied and said it was the Portuguese selection show. Nobody questioned it at all or knew any better
