Saturday sits in front of their clinker

I actually quite LIKE the idea of studio which is LUCKY as it’s all I can AFFORD.

Currently having a private sync listen with a cat I can't name.

Omg I will NOT be showing my flat then :D

Will your flat have a proper bed or will you be setting up some bunkbeds in the bathroom?

My judgement was purely on the bed in the kitchen, I'm the very last person who could ever be houseproud. Imagine the nightmare of hearing the fridge humming all night and the boiler firing up and having to sleep in the smell of the food you cooked earlier or the binbag you forgot to take out. Having had another look the toilet is only two feet away from the sofa, fine if you aren't dumping at home I suppose otherwise you're watching telly in poo-vapours. I also love how they refer to the concrete part with the manhole cover as a "communal patio" and couldn't even be bothered tidying it, giving it a quick sweep and removing the dead plants before the estate agent came to take photos never mind whapping a bit of Cuprinol on the patio furniture.

@Barnacle I'm sure it's a lovely area and all but please consider the realities of living there before you say yes. If you fancy living near Bolton I can do you an amazing one-room garden apartment for £400 a month, it has a skylight and wonderful views of the park from the rear.

The studio I’m moving into has the kitchen a bit off to the side as well as a BALCONY (it looks like and probably is scaffolding but I’m not complaining).

When I was looking for my flat, I wanted a kitchen with a door rather than a line of units along the back wall of the living room. A single bunk bed in the kitchen would be a hard no from me.

When I moved into my first (council) flat I had a veranda. It was exhilarating to sit out there when there was lots of thunder and lightning going on and it was also really useful for drying washing.

where did the new thread about it in community just disappear to?

oh. it's BACK

Hayati, are you still listening? :D

(PS. you mofos are even mentioned in the book. :disco:)

Your guest last week likes the word 'like' :D
This is why I'd never do anything like this though, I'd pick too many faults in myself.

OMG you're listening too!

I was sort of intimidated when I first decided to speak to him. He's so smart! And imagine the first time I heard myself back on these episodes. I was DYING! But now, if I get to do a second season, I think I'm going to be way more confident. Why shouldn't I be? I'm ace. :disco:

Yes he did come across as very intelligent. No shade on him but probably the guest I've connected with least so far though. I think I just liked that with the others, you felt more part of their story.

I totally understand that! I think he actually had a totally different idea for the episode. That he'd basically get to nerd out about his book and the things that interest him. Whereas I have always wanted the podcast to be about personal stories. I REALLY like the next one though!

Yes exactly that! And he kept mentioning other bloggers who I had no idea about (I think he was a bit off about one of them not turning up for his interview 3 times??), so again I couldn't really follow what he was saying.

Basically though, you shouldn't feel intimated by him because you have intelligence AND are personable.

Thanks babe. I feel like it has taken me quite a few episodes to get the hang of it. I went in feeling quite unsure, and then decided to interview loads of people I respect, so my imposter syndrome was SKY HIGH. But I realised from the launch last week and a couple of interviews I did, I CAN actually do this. And I'm best at it when I stick to being myself. That was precisely the thing I was worrying about.
