I just had a leaf through the track listing of Now Dance - The Best Of '94 and there are some astonishing tracks which are eligible for this. I don't know if I can wait 5 and three quarter hours.

The highs are fucking astonishing.

I've played about a bit for the last set of songs as I know the audience always dwindles by that stage. There's a very special treat at the end for those who make it.
 
I've felt QUITE NOSTALGIC compiling this.

In 1994 I was 13/14, spent a fortnight in Poland on our summer holiday and music was my escape from the horrors of school. I started buying the NME and felt quite cool, but loved all the dance music even more.

@octophone I forget exactly how old you are but was 1994 STUDENT DAYS for you?

I was also 13/14 and yet to discover my true musical loves so was busy taping chart shit off INVICTA FM in between being bullied at school.

I used TO LOVE Invicta FM, which I could get up in North Essex.

I can't really remember why!
 
So much better than our local radio. We got a town one in 1993, which was deeply ok. All merged into national commercial radio since.

Radio Essex was shit too.
 
I used to flick between the charts on Sunday, because sometimes Dr Fox would get the songs up first.
 
I used to note how wrong the Chart Show would get its predictions the day before. The answer was very.
 
SGR was an acronyms for SIMPLY GREAT RADIO.

My only happy memories of it were when they played Whigfield followed by Nirvana, for no reason whatsoever.
 
For some reason Invicta used to play Thinking of You by Sister Sledge and Hello Goodbye by the Beatles ALL THE TIME. Bless.
 
They used to claim they played the best music of 70s, 80s and today. Which reminded me of this tweet.

 
I used to love IAN COLLINS and had a little crush on him. Then I went to a roadshow and saw his face and was disappointed.

He's now on Talk Radio of course so is presumably a gammony twat.

It looks I'm gonna be at home, so I'll be playing this. I have a few 94' NOW cds, so I expect to find some of those bangers here.
 
My JD and coke is next to me, my laptop logged up and netflix on silent in the background. I'm READY!
 
Quick disclaimer - as the resident music snob I probably won't like every song and reserve the right to say so :D but that doesn't mean it won't be fabulous overall! I mean it's 90s dance!
