Levis ad. They had a massive chart impact in the late 80s and well into the 90s. I think "Spaceman" by Babylon Zoo might have been the last one but Mr Oizo's Flat Beat may have come after it, can't remember right now.

Yes this is just the worst. It is nice to see a plummet or a graceful decline play out.

Good episodes this week though. Dannii's arrival! The keyboard player for The Mock Turtles was much more glam than you would expect for such a band.

Feargal's rather treacly ballad did surprisingly well.
 
It's a shame they killed and ate her, but nice to know Plavka had a more prolific career than I was aware of

Great friend of Mark E Smith, believe it or nay. Appeared on stage with The Fall a few times in '82 and was in the "Perverted By Language Bis" video thingy with the group in '83. Attended MES's funeral and was clearly absolutely gutted. Not completely sure of Pillay's current pronouns as these have varied regularly (as has the choice of first name: Alan, Lana, Al, Lanah etc) but definitely highly thought of in Fall circles.

This is a really good episode. Cathy Dennis, Sam Janus getting her pre-show run out and Frances Nero having her unlikely hit moment. Also enjoyed Paul Young apparently not knowing which part of the song he sang.

Seeing the struggle of the Nana Pop Life chart runs play out though :(

Aye, alright Anthea, settle down.

The KLF really were a joy. The scale, the absurdity, the sheer art of it all. And the tunes still sound amazing. Both Drummond and Cauty are national treasures. Bill Drummond's book, "45" is well worth reading...it's a good 20 years old now but the stories all hold up.

It feels that the Decker presence has become more challenging in their absence but Whenever You Need Me is a very good song.

Sorry Carol it kind of was a requiem though.
