337 per 100,000 here estimated, which has gone up to that exponentially over the past few days

ETA: This is still small fry though, it's an exaggeration at this point to say we're the next Bolton! It's just that it's going up sharply like in their surrounding areas. Estimated cases in area over the past 7 days: 32, 43, 50, 73, 97, 196, 347. Can see over the past few days how it's hit the start of the exponential curve. But, it seems to usually be a short sharp thing.

4 weeks as expected. Sensible really.

As a matter of interest with some (Zoe symptom study) now saying things like snotting and headache are the main symptoms, I've been suffering hay fever massively today, sneezing and snotting, mild headache, slight tickly cough. Gave myself a very thorough POKING with the rapid test kit... came out negative. They can be false negatives of course but generally from bad testing I think and I was pretty thorough this time with the gagging and eye watering that goes with it.

I'm more and more sceptical that those are "new symptoms" for the new variant - I think people just happen to have had hay fever and asymptomatic Covid at the same time.

Considering the time of year, are they even sure those are symptoms? Anyone with hay fever would say ‘yes’ to those on a list whether they tested positive or not.
 
Exactly that's why I'm sceptical of their claims here. I think it's just the fact it's young (asymptomatic) people with hay fever coincidentally testing positive
 
There are a hundred or so drunken football fans singing rowdily outside one of the bars near me. Humanity really does deserve to be wiped out by this virus.

there's lots of different studies still being done which is why different stats keep coming out from different places all the time.
 
There's a food and drink fair happening in the main town park next weekend. They've said you need a vaccination card to get in. All the anti vaxxers are losing their minds. It's funny seeing then being denied nice things.
 
I read a good post from a Dr the other day saying how to do their job, they have to have had certain vaccines, yet they just accept and get on with it
 
So my mum has a weird anti vaxxer friend. They were supposed to meet up the other week with a few other people but mum was not feeling up to it so cancelled. The text back she received was “Oh I’m sorry, I hope you feel better soon. But to be honest I’m a little glad because my friend [name] doesn’t want to mix with vaccinated people”

These people do know there is a chance that without getting a vaccination they will catch it and end up seriously ill, if not die?
 
You wonder what will happen if the anti vaxxers have somebody close to them they does catch the delta variant of covid and dies. Will they just blame it on something else? :confused:
 
I know a girl who has refused the vaccine as she said a friend of hers mother had a vaccine and when she had her baby later on it was limbless ( I am assuming this was the thalidomide meds taken in the 50’s/60’s). She also works in a care home though, and has refused to have it, and when I asked what she would do if it was to become compulsory, she said that residents of the home have refused so they can never make it compulsory or she would walk out and get them done for unfair dismissal.

OH DEAR.
 
My brother was telling me today he knows of loads of anti vaxxers. I’ve clearly been sheltered from this section of society because I don’t know any.

It must be so hard being so privileged.

I only know the one I mentioned above as her son is friends with my son so she is not really a friend, but someone I have to tolerate every now and again.
 
I don’t think I know any anti vaxxers, if I do they’re very quiet about it.
 
Someone go in to the vaccination thread PRONTO, and report back who is MYSTERIOUSLY MISSING.
 
I did used to chortle at the Katie Price comparisons to Princess Diana by one particular halfwit on one of the sites.

I made the mistake of glimpsing at the comments on GUIDO a while back. Honestly, fire everyone involved into the sun.

(Glimpsing at GUIDO was definitely a mistake in itself).
