But I've just learned that apparently you're not supposed to button the shirt first? That might explain it.

The best bit about working in my current school is semi casual non-iron essential clothes.

Ironing boards are shaped for shirts. Unbutton them and do the back of the collar and cuffs first (hides scorch marks if the iron's too hot) then flip over and do fronts of collar and cuffs, then do the sleeves. Then grab the button-side front panel and iron, move the back to the ironing-surface and iron it, then move the last front (no buttons) to ironing surface and do that. Hang it on a hanger and job's a good 'un, takes five minutes.

For everybody complaining about wrinkly linen shirts - iron them while they are still damp.
 
Oh and yeah I haven't ironed for 5+ years either. What a revelation when you find the wrinkles fall out of your shirt on their own after wearing it for like half an hour...

Congrats! We had to watch little Kylie's graduation via zoom last week.
 
Our local rag has declared a road near me to be closed in both directions due to a fire, lots of smoke and six fire engines in attendance. One of the office girls lives just past there and it's the only road she can get to her home so I texted her and said she can dump her car at mine and walk it from here if she wants then come back for the car when the road opens again. She said thanks so I said I'd just have a walk down with the dog and see what was going on. There were no fire engines, no smoke and the road was open in both directions.

Fake news!
