Saturday besieged by flies

My conspiracy theory is that they're not actually recycling anything in my building and that its all getting mixed together secretly
 
Grey - General waste
Green - Paper, plastic and tins
Blue - Glass
Black - Food waste
Brown - Garden waste

All are paid via council tax except the brown bin which requires a separate £25 annual permit.

We have to separate cans and bottles from paper and card, one bin for each. The binmen come round and both bins get emptied into the same lorry (which isn't compartmentalised) so it all gets mixed up anyway.

Is it ROASTING in England today too? I am currently filling up the PADDLING POOL. Just trying to figure out a way on how to get the dog in to it as she can’t jump in anymore. Am I better to soak her with the hose?
 
Just dug three fan heaters out of the garage and have them set to ventilation only. Sweet relief from this vile weather.

Better turn the power consumption display off before Mr L comes home.

OT: Where can I get a CHILDS BEARD? I have a 6 year old nephew who I was just chatting to on FaceTime and for his 7th birthday he asked for a costume with a HAT and BEARD?
 
I feel RIGHT AT HOME in this heat. I don’t know WHY but having been born and bred in IRELAND I seem to have came out of it without FRECKLY SKIN and have a lovely olive glow. :disco:
