ABBA - Voyage (Album thread) (1 Viewer)

abbavoyage.com now linking to Amazon and HMV rather than selling directly. A lot of the editions showing as sold out when I last got on.

I hope it's just a temporary issue and they get more stock. I think only the vinyl single was stated as limited.

The Telegraph has called I Still Have Faith in You a "bit of a damp squib" because no one writing for that paper has known JOY since Thatcher resigned.

It's written by Neil McCormick, the same guy who went to Kylie's Anti-Tour and moaned about the lack of hits.

I have to say I’m slightly irked we’re getting Just a Notion but they’re ignoring a proper studio version of Just Like That.

Where do I have to pre-order to get the presale? The Abba website? But if that is down and just linking to Amazon etc…anyone know?

Don't know, but obviously I'll let you know the code when I get it if it's a generic thing.

It's probably going to be another case of presale being no better than general anyway!

Well I’m just getting through the live reveal, how lovely. Glad the Swedish host wasn’t there for long. Mind you, Zoe needed to keep the fangirling under control a bit

At the top of the official shop is a “no purchase necessary” link: (https://shopmusic.abbavoyage.com/?u...tm_medium=genericlink&utm_source=OriginalLink)

Looks like all you need to do is put your details here:

Me too, seems like a missed opportunity, although I KIND OF get the reasoning in Bjorn and Benny’s world.

The only reason Just A Notion was ditched in the first place was because it was a bit dated but I suppose that matters less in 2021 than it did in 1979. And they probably feel they’ve been over the Just Like That thing a million times.

Anyway needless to say I’m positively giddy at all of this!!

I love the new songs, I’m glad we’re getting the album I didn’t quite dare believe was actually coming, and my god, the Abbatars look unbelievable. I would never have thought they would go to the lengths of having the four of them actually performing the material.

I think I will be at that show much more than is objectively healthy. Moopmeet Stratford? :disco:

I'm getting properly tearful reading some comments on twitter about how much this clearly means to people.

I'm slightly surprised they haven't got any repeated word titles in there.

Didn’t he explicitly say “Little Things” was the Christmassy one?

The Sun reporting that Adele may be releasing the same day.

I’m not quite sure it’s THAT but ABBA have at least, if not more, crossover appeal.

The Adele release probably won’t come anyway.

I know Voyage will be a huge seller, but Adele huge? I’m not so sure.

I would be REALLY surprised if they were going head-to-head. Surely in terms of getting blanket coverage, airplay etc in the lead-up, this doesn’t work for either of them. And I’m sure the various record companies know exactly when their rivals are bringing out their big releases.

In fact, knowing now that ABBA’s people clearly have a direct line to The Sun, I wouldn’t be surprised if they had put this story out themselves to drive preorders.
