I grew up in Hemel Hempstead (well, between moving from Essex and back again). I was almost SUNBURNT TO DEATH during a walk organised by a teacher

However there are some LOVELY BOUTIQUES and the high end Marlowes Shopping Centre has all your favourites

If you go to HIGHFIELD in Hemel (it does look particularly appalling without the Hempstead ), some of the streets are named after PLANETS which is very INTERGALACTIC
