Just started on this now. Estonia was a right struggle, but thank god they sorted themselves out for those last few years. :disco:

The 2000-2002 run of Estonia really is one of life's great oxymorons. Two shining beacons of pop music and then they win with THAT in 2001. Nasty.
 
Lou isn't good. It's just slightly more competently executed shit that most of the rest of them.
 
Hey! Competently executed shit will get it well into the top half of my rankings.
 
Lou is amazing but yes, Germany was dreadful (and far worse than, say, the UK in the same period). Amazing to think they clocked up a victory straight off the back of this set of entries.

That No Angels performance is a disaster and even more so because the song itself is great.

Sometimes it just goes wrong - quite reminiscent of Precious in 1999 who took a good pop song and butchered it on stage (although I would say No Angels were even worse).
 
Absolutely. I found it very difficult to rank this one, because the song as a composition is sth that could normally get my top3 highest marks, but the delivery was such a let down.
