The first half of that track is pretty good, and then it becomes FABULOUS!
 
Who are they??? Is this, FINALLY, a new girl R&B vocal group in our midst?

“Volcano Love” is lovely. Sounds a lot like Mariah’s “Can’t Let Go”
 
Not sure about “Money”. Sounds like they’re aiming for the Radio 2 market which suggests that there’s no real interest to bring this sound back to the charts :(
 
A quick look at their YouTube page suggests that Volcano Love is the outlier, as most of their stuff is very doowop inspired. A pastiche of the Shirelles/Ronettes etc.

maybe the new one is a new direction for them, in which case KEEP ME POSTED
 
The group name, album title and album cover are all varying degrees of 🥴

Why are there so many songs from a group that are not mentioned anywhere outside of moopy?

Even Spotify has never recommended them to me and they recommend EVERYONE!

Anyway the album is terrific. I can't believe some of the songs are only on a couple of thousand plays, but I guess the only way is UP

Money (Interlude) is one of my favourite tracks :D it's just so lovely

When You're Lonely is fantastique. it's very Caution, but with vox.

Volcano Love is decent too, and Feeling the Pain is alright... but all of their songs are very "here is all production immediately", wall of sound-ish. there's no build and release and certainly not even an ounce of subtlety :D a bit Radio 2 in the end.

still, quite good.

yeah i can see that but also I think a lot of their songs actually change half way through or towards the end and become something else

and what do you think of WIN MY HEART
 
What is it reminding me of though? I know it's an 80s sound but I can't put my finger on the specific song(s) it's referencing
