I don’t like Friday, unless I’VE CAUSED IT!

Sadly yes, like please diagnose me with the BLACK DEATH or something to save face.

I think the doctors in a&e must roll their eyes when they hear 111 has sent someone. Sometimes when I talk to people, they seem to be sent for the most ridiculous things. But for the patient, if you're advised to go, of course you're going to go!

If you ring 111 and the problem you're complaining about isn't completely obvious like "I've cut off my thumb with a bandsaw" the default is to tell you to get yourself to A&E because 1) it covers their arse if it does turn out to be something serious and 2) it gets you off the phone which is good for their AHT. I'm not even kidding.

I had 3 ibuprofen and half a bottle of wine and I feel better

I thought i was getting that achy flu thing but forgot I went gym yesterday 😂

Just for clarity, I’m not normally a drama queen, we had a group of ms rons bitches over at the weekend and two of them are now riddled, so I thought tired+achy = covid

And I fully imagine that the call handlers are probably operating off some script with multiple choice answers, most of which have 'go to A&E' as the outcome.

In the two years I worked at a homeless hostel I suspect I called 111 a couple of dozen times. I was obliged to do it to covered the hostel's arse. I think probably only twice was I advised anything other than go to A&E.
