The leaked Sage report is pretty frightful. I reckon we'll go for a full lockdown once Christmas is out of the way.

My flatmate has been coughing and spluttering all over the place for days now. We’ve both had multiple negative LFTs and I haven’t even caught her cold - last week I was dosing up on Vicks First Defence so it must have done the trick.

I think I’m going to cancel all my cinema weekend plans, have asked to work from home next week despite going in for well-being purposes. Desperately trying to stay away from her now. I think she just has a super weak immune system.

Former COVID QUEENS, what day do you usually lose your mind? It’s only day three and I’m close, but don’t want to PEAK TOO EARLY.

You don't have a car do you? When I was quarantined but didn't have any symptoms, I drove to an empty area so I could walk around to not lose my mind. That seems unlikely in London though

Personally I am looking forward to Mopsy entertainment including revival syncette listens/watches.

New York reported its most cases in a day ever yesterday! It was probably more last March/April in reality, but still! It doesn't seem to have taken hold here yet, but its only a matter of time. Its been warm this winter, so people have been outside more, but the vaccination rate is low, so its going to be terrible in January/February

I’m really concerned about getting it before Christmas now. I know I had it relatively recently but I’m not sure how much that really matters with Omicron and my booster won’t have kicked in yet.

I’m doing all I can to limit social contacts, public transport and all the rest of it between now and then, but my flatmate (who hasn’t had Covid yet except maybe the original strain way at the start) is going out almost every night, including some Christmas parties that are still going ahead.

I have asked that we both test every day but I feel it would be unreasonable to ask for any more even though I’m not thrilled about the situation.
I basically stopped socialising around a week and a bit ago and was so paranoid about getting it that i’d been melodramatically wearing a fucking FFP2 mask in the communal areas of my flat ... mainly because the flatmate I talk to the most works in a frontline service and is in contact with people all the time.

Had a train booked for Sunday but had a bit of a panic on Wednesday and wondered whether I should go home early before concluding I was being silly. The next day, one of my flatmates had symptoms and tested positive on LFT - he barely speaks to the rest of us so given the fact that i’d spent all of 30 masked secs in the same room during the past week, I’m fairly sure he hasn’t given it to me. Thursday was a mess of Lateral Flow Tests, frantic packing and hunting down a booster before hotfooting it back to Scotland two days early. Had a PCR today just to make sure. Living in a flatshare is the fucking worst during COVID - although thankfully my lot tend to take it seriously enough.

We already had lateral flows in but you couldn’t pick up further boxes anywhere or get a PCR anywhere in London either. Place is a mess.

If you’re losing your mind you must be mild / on the mend. I had no interest in leaving my bed let alone my flat for the first 6 days.

I just rather enjoyed just catching up on all the Netflix series I didn’t have time for before. I was too sick to work but not sick enough to be delirious. Then again it was January and I think we were in that tiered lockdown thing anyway. No possibility of FOMO.

Maybe our immune systems got a little rusty cause we haven't had to face any illness for two years, my throat inflammation still goes on too, and all the tests keep coming up negative.

This wedding I'm supposed to be attending on 28th isn't happening, is it? This will be the third time they've had to postpone :(

If spawn's gets cancelled again that'll be three times and her wedding venue said if it's cancelled again she loses all her money and they have no obligation to give her another date. That really isn't a route they want to start down ...

When is she booked in for?

finding a certain amount of irony to sitting in a pub listening to someone else sat in the pub saying "we should be in lockdown"
Umm, you first!
I dunno, maybe we should, but given that I'm currently sat in the pub I'm not really one to talk about what we should all be doing :)

It feels like the compliance for a lockdown is at an alltime low, with people who previously complied now saying no.
