Yup, I'm going to do it again.

Having not intended to get tied into the Midnight, Mass or Acre theme last year (it was a joke that stuck), this will be lesser-spotted festive/winter tunes.

This isn't an offshoot of ASFXMAS and is designed to be enjoyed i.e. this is not a load of avant-garde/noisy stuff that only I would have time for.

As a small preview, this is in it...

 
I was thinking of maybe starting before midnight...any opinions?
 
I'll join once the rest of the family have gone to bed. They tend to keep late-ish hours, so likely somewhere between 11 and 12.
 
I'd prefer that too, and I think last year's was similar? I have a memory of something being sequenced to be roughly AT midnight, and it wasn't the first song :o
 
Nah, just kidding - just tweaked the running order so that the "midnight" sequence runs over midnight itself...

Will make this public is a minute...

We start with a brief tribute to last year's unintended theme, then we go all festive before we hit the Midnight run, then a few more to send us off to bed because Santa doesn't come if you're still awake etc...

Mezzanine is still their best album by a country mile, I reckon. And this video is one of the more elegant solutions to the "what do you do with a band who don't play conventional instruments" problem.

This is essentially a guitar-bass-drums rock song and yet it still sounds like Massive Attack. No small feat.
